Adolf Richard Fleischmann 1892 Esslingen - 1968 Stuttgart Ohne Titel. 1950er Jahre. Öl auf Leinwand. Nicht bei Wedewer. Nicht bei Fischer. Rechts unten signiert. Verso handschriftlich bezeichnet. 100 x 80 cm (39,3 x 31,4 in). [SM]. 1950s. Oil on canvas. Not in Wedewer. Not in Fischer. Lower right signed. With inscriptions on the reverse. 100 x 80 cm (39.3 x 31.4 in). [SM]. • The shimmering compositions of the 1950s are among the artist's most sought-after works • Subtle use of color in meditative form construction. • Adolf Fleischmann is considered a pioneer of Op Art. • He studied under Adolf Hölzel at the Stuttgart Art Academy . We are grateful to Dr. Alfred M. Fischer, Ainring, for his kind expert advice. Fleischmann's abstract works have two components. On the one hand, there is the clear color structure of a surface and, on the other, an indifferent, almost mystical statement in the loose interplay of the dissolved color forms. One could almost speak of constructive divisionism if one wanted to see Fleischmann's work only in purely visual terms. But there was and is more. Fleischmann is a romantic among the artists of constructive abstraction. What others express in gestural sweep, the artist achieves solely through the subtle use of color. Despite all the apparent construction, a meditative element predominates. It gives the composition the opportunity to penetrate deeper into the viewer's consciousness beyond all formal aspects. Called up: December 8, 2023 - ca. 13.21 h +/- 20 min. This lot can be purchased subject to differential or regular taxation, artist´s resale right compensation is due.

Starring Clark Gable as an out-of-work newspaper reporter and Claudette Colbert as an over-indulged heiress, Frank Capra's classic screwball comedy was the first film to ever sweep all five major categories at the Oscars (Picture, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenplay) - a feat that's only been managed twice since. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, December 7th. BATMAN (196Final Production Scripts (2), 65 & 67 Pages (8.5" x 11") Autographed by Burgess Meredith (Episode 3; Fine Feathered Finks) (Beckett COA.). 20th Century Fox TV, 1965 & 1966Offered in this lot are two great rainbow scripts for two of television's most famous cult favorites. One script is from Fine Feathered Finks, dated November 19, 1965, and is signed by Burgess Meredith to Mark. Meredith played the villain Penguin throughout the series and was iconic. This episode was the first to star Meredith and aired within the first season. The other script is Death in Slow-Motion and is dated March 7, 1966. This episode stars Frank Gorshin as the Riddler and also aired in the first season. The autograph is authenticated and includes an additional COA from Beckett Authentication Services. When Hugh Hefner screened all 15 chapters of the 1943 Batman serial at the Playboy Mansion in 1964, he could hardly have known that he was setting off a chain of events that would lead to the development of one of the most iconic TV shows of the 1960s. Starring Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin, the show was a crazy, colorful, campy adaptation of the character, one that was instantly embraced by a public already enthralled by the work of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, and setting off a wave of "Batmania" that would sweep the world. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, December 7th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace.
