Hands are rotating but intermittent. Scratches to crystal commensurate with wear. Box - a little tatty.
Charles Frodsham, London: An unusually large 18ct yellow gold full hunter minute repeating keyless chronograph watch, the polished case hallmarked AS, London 1879, with fob winder, split pusher to the band above 11 o'clock, recessed repeating slide and gold hand set button at twelve, the gilt three-quarter plate movement with tuning fork lever, spiral blued steel balance spring, repeating on two polished steel gongs, signed and numbered 'No. 06037 AD Fmsz Chas Frodsham, 84 Strand, LONDON', 48mm. white enamel dial signed 'CHARLES FRODSHAM 06037 AD Fmsz', with Roman numerals, outer ring calibrated for minutes and chronograph fifths, with Arabic five minute markers, subsidiary dials at twelve and six for constant seconds and 60-minute register, lacks glass.* Condition: Lacks glass. The sweep seconds hand is binding on the minute hand so will require careful adjustment to correct. The watch winds and runs. The push button repeat function is working correctly. The case is not engraved and is in very good condition, with no dings or dents. Minor wear to outer edges. Movement very clean. Dial very good with no hairlines, chips or wear.
