Chopard - A lady's 'Happy Sport' wristwatch, with plain square floating diamond silver wave dial, blued sword shaped hands and sweep second hand, date window at six o'clock, signed 'Chopard Genève' on the crystal, to a mid-blue plastic bezel and steel case with knop ended lugs, the back inscribed 'Chopard "Be Happy 2" No 0069/9999 27/8896-403 8896 722268', on the original blue rubber strap with 'Happy Sport' imprinted on the outside and 'Chopard 15/70 15/105' on the inner, model number 27/8896-403, case size 3cm, quartz movement, no box or documents Other Notes: The most innovative watch design of 1976 came from Ronald Kurowski, a designer at Chopard. While on holiday he saw a waterfall with water droplets sparkling in the sunshine. It inspired him to design a watch featuring diamonds freely moving between dial, bezel and sapphire crystal. Each diamond is set in a handmade white gold tube. The tube protrudes a few millimetres above the diamond's surface so the smooth edges glide against underside of the watch crystal without scratching. The slightest finger tap on the case causes the diamonds to move; this "tap test" remains the definitive test of authentic "Happy Diamonds".
