The arch with cast spandrels and silvered name plaque fronting a posted 30 hour movement striking on a bell; verge escapement and hook and spike wall fixing34cm highThe dial is original to frame and movement, original verge escapement, the movement is complete with alarm and does run but is very dirty and will need an overhaul, the bell strap is damaged and the top finial has been cut down. The pendulum bob and wall spikes are later.

A FINE CHARLES II BALANCE WHEEL VERGE LANTERN CLOCK the posted frame with side doors, engraved dolphin fretwork crestings and strapped bell surmounted by a large final above a narrow Roman chapter ring with quarter hour markings enclosing a signed tulip engraved centre with alarm setting dial and cut steel hand fronting a 30-hour weight driven movement with balance wheel verge escapement and alarm mechanism mounted on the steel backplate.39cm highThe clock looks to have been restored in recent years and is in good working order, movement, case and dial are all original to each other, the balance wheel would have probably been re-converted, if so it's been done to a very high standard. Front fret looks original, side frets possibly later. Side doors are probably later but again made very well. Clock comes with a weight. Extra images have been uploaded.

A 19TH CENTURY FRENCH DROCOURT ‘ONE PIECE’ GILT CASED REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK with moulded frame enclosing bevelled glass panels and a white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring above a subsidiary alarm dial fronting an eight-day spring driven movement with alarm and original jewelled compensated lever escapement striking and repeating on a gong, makers stamp on backplate17cm high The case is in good order with its original gilt finish, all the glass panels are undamaged, the dial has a very fine hairline crack running from a repaired chip in the top right corner, only visible when tilting the clock back. The movement looks to have been cleaned in recent years ticks on the original lever escapement and strikes/repeats the correct hours. May need a service.
