Diamond size approx. 8mm x 8mm Weight circa 3.7g The stone appears clean with no obvious flaws or inclusions to the naked eye, not hazy or cloudy. The colour appears good, with no obvious yellow tone. The colour is very slightly yellow but good overall, no obvious defects/flaws to the naked eye.
A sapphire and diamond dress ring, the oval mixed-cut sapphire claw set between graduating shoulders of round brilliant and tapered baguette-cut diamonds, with scrolled sides, platinum mounted, total diamond weight approximately 0.30ct, ring size NThe sapphire has a slightly milky mid-blue hue with slight greenish tint and angular colour zoning visible from the top and sides, when viewed under magnification. The sapphire has surface scuffs, chips and nicks and measures approx. 9mm length x 7.4mm width x 4.5mm depth. Diamonds are well matched, fairly bright and lively, with estimated VS2 to SI2 clarity and H to J colour, assessed mounted. The ring mount is modern, of relatively heavy gauge, with scuffs, scratches, chips and nicks to the surface. Marks have patchy wear, the maker's mark is possibly 'MJ'. The shank tapers in width from approx. 6.5mm at the shoulders to 2.5mm at the back. Gross weight approx. 10.8gm.
