Art Deco platinum three stone diamonds and sapphire ring in an engraved rectangular setting, the diamonds 1.00ct approx in total, clarity SI-I, colour H/J, the shoulders set with triangle-cut sapphires, each 0.20ct approx, width 7mm, 4.3gm, ring size N - ** with an historical scanned copy for insurance purposes undertaken by E.P Mallory & Son Ltd of Bath for in June 1970 for £120

Condition is good - no obvious damage to stones. Setting needs attention as closure is worn. Stamped pl - the rest is lost due to the ring having been re-sized in the past.
A sapphire and diamond ring, the central mixed cut cornflower blue sapphire measuring 10.61mm L x 10.11mm W x 9.01mm D, flanked by five old cut diamonds on each shoulder, all set in unmarked white metal to a plain polished shank, ring size M, weight 6.2gmsCR; Condition is very good. Some minor nibbling to the facet edges of the central table. A small chip to the pavilion facets, visible between two of the claws. Some light scratching and wear to the facets. All claws are in tact. All stones are present and in tact. Shank in good order, no signs of splitting, thinning, misshaping or repair. Some minor scratching and wear only.The setting is modern, but the cut of the stones appear to be much earlier. The metal is assessed as platinum, but has not been tested.Zoning is visible to one corner with the naked eye, and there is a flat, translucent inclusion visible in the centre table (this can be seen in the fifth image, in the top right hand on the table of the sapphire. Under 10x, there are flat circular reflective inclusions, and zoning running across from the right shoulder to the top middle of the stone (using the fifth image as reference). The spread of colour appears even throughout the stone.
