An Art Deco sapphire and diamond cluster ring with diamond set shoulders, an oval mixed cut sapphire milligrain set to a frame of old eight cut diamonds, to a shallow gallery with an old Swiss cut diamond milligrain set to each shoulder. Finger size possibly N-O, support beads fitted CONDITION REPORT: Two diamonds are possible replacements, and one of those has dropped in the setting and is possibly slightly too small. Under 10x magnification there are visible bruises to crown facet edges but no surface reaching inclusions. The shank appears original to the ring and tests as platinum, with sizing join. RESTORATION. The setting edge or setting plate has probably been replaced, tests as platinum. The under bezel has been replaced and tests as white gold. (The ring would have been Art Deco but as the head has probably been replaced in two restoration phases, perhaps 'restored Art Deco' would be more accurate).
