A collection of four Victorian ladies black mantels / capes, all with beaded decoration, one bearing label inscribed "Chipperfield & Butler Mantel and Jacket Makers, 74 75 and 76 Weston Road Brighton" CONDITION REPORTS All over beaded mantel missing beads in various places. Several pinned on. Some fraying to the lace and pulls to the thread. Mantel with long lace front has a couple of holes in the seams and some damage to the beading and hole to the lacework. Velvet trimmed example has beads missing variously throughout especially to one side front. Wear to the velvet mainly on the edges. Some marks / dirt to one of the cuffs. The lining is ripped and showing the padding beneath. Heavily beaded piece has some staining / discolouration and areas of beading missing throughout. Beads have a white-ish hue - possibly vulcanised rubber. Holes to the lining throughout. All items have wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more details.

Flapper dress may have been repaired on the seam to the shoulders and is missing some beading throughout. Some areas of staining and holes.

Mantel clock late 19th Century, with gilt painted scrolling acanthus decoration, the white enamel dial with roman numerals, the movement cramped 'CS 7700' 30cm high Condition: Surface dust, dirt and scratches. No key, no pendulum. Unknown if this clock works. Cracks and discolouration to the white enamel dial. Old repairs to the reverse, some cracks and crazing to the finish throughout.

19th Century French rosewood and marquetry mantel clock, rectangular case on a moulded plinth, circular enamelled dial with Roman numerals, signed Henry Marc, a Paris, cylinder movement also stamped Hy Marc, Paris, number 19212, striking on a bell, with pendulum, 22cm, the case slightly faded to the top and rear.
