A 19th century French slate and grey marble mantel clock, with Japy Freres type 14-day movement striking on a bell in a drum supported on consoles, with recessed cream enamel 12cm dial with visible Brocot escapement, Arabic chapter, supported on a high base with central bevelled glass reserve flanked by grey marble half columns, revealing a mercury compensated pendulum, all flanked by volutes on a high plinth, 46.5cm, 1870s.

A late 19th century mantel clock, 12cm silvered and engraved dial, with bevelled glass to door,Roman chapter, pierced hands, 8-day Junghans movement striking on a gong, the case with frieze and cornice supporting a domed pavilion decorated with turned finials, square flanked by turned half columns,engraved dial, c. 1900Erhard Junghams founded this well-known Black Forest firm in 1861 with his brotjher-in-law, building a works ar Schramberg in the Lauterbachtal Valley and the firm has been celebrated for its clocks and high quality clocks and watches ever since. Condition Report: Finials detached in in rear of clock.
