A 19th century French slate and grey marble mantel clock, with Japy Freres type 14-day movement striking on a bell in a drum supported on consoles, with recessed cream enamel 12cm dial with visible Brocot escapement, Arabic chapter, supported on a high base with central bevelled glass reserve flanked by grey marble half columns, revealing a mercury compensated pendulum, all flanked by volutes on a high plinth, 46.5cm, 1870s.
