A magnificent Parisian exhibition (circa 1900) marble and ormalu mounted mantel clock the circular bevelled and part raised face with Roman numeric and Arabic dial with retailer`s mark "Lazard, Rue De Commerce, Paris" with 8-day movement and part pierced pointers - the movement striking on the half hour fitted in a balloon shaped case smothered with ormalu mounts of flowers and scrolls surmounted by further scrolls and a winged cherub - the fern leaf and part gadrooned stem of inverted form flanked by further cherubs on a marble platform base terminating in scroll bell flower and leafy capped supports on compressed feet - the shaped frieze centred by further scrolls and flowers. Approx. 57cms high.
