The clock has the makers mark M.C (Maurice Couet) who made clocks for Cartier and came from a great clock making family. Best known for his mystery clocks, he became the exclusive supplier to Cartier and worked with Charles Jacqueau and Georges Remy who also designed clocks for Cartier.
