A 19th century French gilt bronze mantel clock with inset porcelain panels depicting floral motifs and river landscape with mill beneath a circular enamel dial set with Roman numerals and Arabic second numerals, with blue glazed twin handled urn with floral garlands, the eight day movement stamped CV580 58, also bearing illegible handwriting to the back of the front ceramic plaque, on four turned feet and gilt plaster stand, height 38cm, with glass dome (af) on wooden ebonised base. CONDITION REPORT: General surface wear, some rubbing to the front parts of the gilt,m a few hairlines to the dial around the key winding apertures, lacking glass, odd tiny dots of dirt, the plaster base has rubbing and minor losses to the corners, the glass dome has a reglued crack to one of the sides to the bottom.

Lot 1882

A late 19th century French Boullework eight day mantel clock, the shaped case with foliate scroll mounts, the circular dial set with Roman numerals and raised on scrolling supports, height 40cm. CONDITION REPORT: Sold with pendulum. There is a fine hairline crack running to the right hand side of the 12 to the centre of the dial. There is an area of repaired brass work to one side. A couple of minute losses to the tortoiseshell and old repairs. The clock has come from a collection where the gentleman has had them running up until recently.
