Jahrhunderts und wird oft als ein führender Vertreter der Pop-Art nahestehenden Kunst bezeichnet, hier: "A bounce for Bradford", Farbfotolithografie in limitierter Auflage, in der Platte von David Hockney signiert. Dabei die originale Titelseite mit dem Originalverkaufspreis von 18 Pence, wie er bei der Sommerausstellung der Royal Academy 1987 verkauft wurde, 42 x 62 cm.Hockneys Graphik „A Bounce for Bradford“, veröffentlicht im März 1987, wurde speziell zur Unterstützung der Kampagne „Bradford’s Bouncing Back“ entworfen. Es gab vier Editionen dieses Buches, die jeweils mit 6 beigelegten Radierungen kamen. (Very slight wear.) - One of 400 copies. - Signed by David Hockney on the title page. - David Hockney made the etchings for the book from May to November 1969. The versions of the fairy tale narratives are based on a Manesse publication and were selected by Hockney for this book. There were four editions of this book, each of which came with 6 accompanying etchings. These 6 illustrations are missing from this book. - A small stain on the inside of the cover, pages discreetly browned on the outer edges, otherwise in very good condition.

Light discolouration to the sheet, most notable at the upper edge and lower left corner. The sheet is stuck down at two points along the upper edge, far right and left with mounting tape. Some mounting tape also stuck to the underside of the lower edge at two points, far right and left. Very light handling creases and undulation scattered throughout the sheet. There is a horizontal crease approx. 4cm up from the lower edge running across the sheet. There is a very small vertical tear approx. 0.5cm to the right side of the lower edge. There is an indistinct inscription verso but does not appear to be in the artist's hand. The lower edge is not cut straight, consistent with the original condition. Condition Report Disclaimer

ARR David Hockney RA (b.1937) French Shop, signed and dated '71 lower right, numbered 298/500 lower right, etching and aquatint, 53.5 x 45 cm (PL), frame 64.5 x 54.5 cmCondition:The print is an etching, framed under glazing - not examined external to the frame. The sheet appears in overall good condition - no obvious tears, creases or losses. There is some minor ageing (yellowing) to the sheet around the edges. The full margins are visible and the platemark edges clearly defined. It is signed and dated to the lower right and numbered in pencil to the lower left. The print appears crisp and well preserved. There are some potential beginnings of foxing in the margins- sparsly distributed and faint - but otherwise fine. The glass has dirt and some accretions between the glass and print. The frame has some dents to the edges and general wear and tear.
