Untitled, No. 346, from A Bigger Book: Art Edition B, iPad drawing in colours, 2010/2016, signed & dated in pencil by the artist at lower-right margin, numbered by the artist at lower-left margin (130/250), printed on archival paper bearing "DH" blind-stamp, 43.9 x 33cm (image), 56 x 43.3cm (sheet), housed in protective paper wrappers within the original quarter-cloth portfolio in yellow & blue. Together with the publication itself, A Bigger Book [SUMO monograph], limited edition numbered 0380 of 1000 [Nos. 1001-10,000 were released as a Collector's Edition], Elephant folio (70 x 50cm), Taschen, 2016, plus a companion chronology book, and an adjustable bookstand designed by Marc Newson from Apple, the whole housed in the original packing box with labels and locks. This has been kept by one private owner from new with the original packaging, and is therefore well-preserved and vibrant; the signed print appears pristine recto (front), but the verso (back) has light toning to margins and tape residue at top edge; the dust-jacket of A Bigger Book has some wear to corners; the dust-jacket of chronology book has slight bumping to edges; the protective packaging has some trivial marks & wear NB. The poster appears to be in good order and appears to be stuck to the board, however the frame could do with replacing and is not entirely structurally sound.

§ Andrew Heard (1958-1993) I'm Next signed with initials (lower right) acrylic on canvas, unframed 151 x 151cm Provenance: The estate of David and Ann Graves (nee Upton) David and Ann Graves were well-known for their long friendship with David Hockney. The present work is one of only a handful of works produced by British artist, Andrew Heard.Born in Hertford in 1958, Heard received his training at Chelsea School of Art, before moving to West Berlin, where he held a number of successful solo shows. From 1983, Heard shared his London studio with poet, David Robilliard and counted Gilbert & George and David Hockney amongst his most strident supporters. Celebrated for his sharp-witted canvases, often cast with British actors, comedians and neglected television personalities, Heard’s career was tragically cut-short when he died in 1993, aged just 35, following a battle with AIDS.

David Hockney OM CH RA (b.1937) 'Olympische Spiele München 1972'offset lithograph in colours, from an open editionsheet 101 x 64cm, unframedCondition ReportPreviously rolled with light handling creases to the bottom. On the back there is a very small crease to the top in the centre. On close inspection in raking light this is visible from the front of the print, but in our opinion this does not detract from overall enjoyment of the work. Some extremely faint time staining to the white area at the bottom of the print, please see condition images. The full sheet is printed to the edges which are in good condition. The print is crisp and the colours are bright.

The acrylic on the stand in good order. The accompanying artwork present and in wrapping. The support with very little signs of wear. The book closed 51cm wide, 9cm deep, 71cm high. Peter Phillips, British b.1939 - Leolocation, 1969; acrylic on card, signed, titled, dated and annotated on the reverse 'Peter Phillips, Study for a silk screen print 'Leolocation' 1969', 54 x 49 cm (ARR) Note: this work is a study for a silk screen print made in an edition of 3000 in 1970. A sample of the paper to be used, printing instructions and a negative for printing the image of the machine are included on the reverse. One of the leading figures of British Pop Art, Phillips studied at the Royal College of Art alongside David Hockney, Allen Jones, R.B. Kitaj and Patrick Caulfield. Phillips took an interest in the aggressive American advertising and montage style work he saw through the work of Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg. Upon being awarded the Harkness Fellowship he moved to New York, where he exhibited alongside Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and James Rosenquist, making a name for himself as a preeminent Pop artist in New York. He juxtaposes everyday imagery to subvert mass-media culture. .His works are in the collections of Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. A retrospective of his work was held at the Tate, London.
