Die Vielzahl der Publikationen, aber auch die Präsentation in einer Reihe bedeutender Ausstellungen - darunter die Pariser Retrospektive im Grand Palais 1997 -, zeugen von der Wertschätzung für dieses Werk. Von seiner Wertschätzung zeugen auch die zuweilen überschwänglichen Einschätzungen der Forscher über dieses Gemälde: La beauté rustique du modèle, la source lumineuse unique, la simplification des formes, tout fascine dans ce petit chef-d´œuvre, schreibt etwa Pierre Rosenberg (Rosenberg 2006, op. cit., S. 372). Seit nunmehr 45 Jahren befindet sich La fillette au braisier in der Sammlung Bischoff. Tabuskri oder auch tabulae scriptae nennt Bernard Schultze seine ersten Reliefbilder, die er ab 1957 kreiert. In den Tabuskris kombiniert Schultze Farbzeichnung und Malerei zu luftigen Gebilden, die Schultzes außerordentliches zeichnerisches Können offenbaren. In dünnen Schichten liegt auf der Malfläche eine pastose Substanz, die Rillen, Furchen und Grate bildet. Dieses feine Relief ist der Ausgangspunkt für die zeichnerischen Farbgebilde, die sich scheinbar tänzerisch über die Bildfläche bewegen. Aus diesen Arbeiten entwickelt Schultze ab 1961 seine vollplastisch aus Farbmaterie aufgebauten "Migofs". Schultze selbst spricht wie folgt über seine frühen Reliefbilder: "tabulae scriptae, auch im Bereich einer Grenzsituation: Auf weißer Leinwand begann ich sehr willkürlich, mit Ölfarbe inselhaft Farbflecke und Farbhaufen ineinander zu mengen, um sie dann in mit der Feder geschriebenes Liniengeflecht auszudehnen. A 19th century cast iron fire basket, the arched back cast with the Grand Royal Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of France, the andirons with fleur de lis crestings, the grate 63cm wide

David's (Michael Fassbender) screen-matched light-up space suit bay panel from Ridley Scott's sci-fi prequel Prometheus. Panels hung behind the Prometheus crew's spacesuits as they prepared to visit the alien ruins on LV-223. The panel matches the one seen behind David's suit through the markings on the metal grate. The panel itself is constructed from wood and painted matt grey and white. The panel features two display screens, three acrylic button pads and a gun compartment behind a metal grate lid. The screens display an array of moving data and the Weyland-Yutani logo, with graphics cycling on a loop when the panel is powered with its European plug, activated by a switch at the bottom. The gun compartment features a futuristic weapon-shaped cutout in black foam. The panel is accompanied by a remote control and instructions for use. There is some wear from production use and age, including some scuffing to the paintwork on the front and on the compartment handle. There are holes drilled into the top and bottom of the panel, where it was secured to the set. A brass and cast iron fire grate in George III Adam taste, 19th century, the arched backplate descending to a three-rail serpentine basket with urn finials, ball surround and above a pierced frieze with foliage and paterae, flanked by square section front uprights with further conforming urn mounts, 88cm high, 105cm wide, 38cm protuberanceCondition Report: Minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use.There is some surface oxidisation to the iron elements of the grate, and there is some light green probably polish residue to the recesses of the incised decoration.There are losses to small sections of foliate decoration on the frieze, and the back may be lacking an ornament which would have possibly occupied the arched section.There is some iron strapwork underneath the basket, which may possibly be a later support.Condition Report Disclaimer
