Jahrhunderts ausgeführt und enthält fragmentarische Fassungsreste. Die elegante, vertikalisierte Form wird durch die hohe Stirn als typisches mittelalterliches Schönheitsideal, die hohe Taille und den gelängten Unterkörper betont. Die symmetrisch aufgefasste, detailreich ausgearbeitete Krösenfrisur rahmt das idealisiert-zeitlose Gesicht der Heiligen. Die dünnen Grate der Augenbrauen, die gesenkten Lider mit mandelförmigen Augen und der zu einem leichten Lächeln verzogene Mund vermitteln sowohl eine entzeitlichte Distanz der Dargestellten als auch einen Aspekt der Unmittelbarkeit und Nahbarkeit für den Fürbitter.Stilistisch zeigt die Figur diagonale, teigige Schüsselfalten, die an der Hüfte voluminös gebauscht sind und dann in zwei ausladenden, sich zuspitzenden Falten den ponderierten Stand der weiblichen Figur aufnimmt. Das linke Standbein wird, obwohl vom Gewand verborgen, durch den an der Hüfte zusammengerafften und vertikal abfallenden Stoff betont. Unter dem schweren Kleid, das in tief liegenden Schrägfalten auf der Plinthe auftrifft, blitzen die Schuhspitzen der Heiligen in einem spielerisch-realistischen Moment hervor. Bei dieser Figur könnte es sich unter anderem entweder um die Jungfrau Maria oder andere weibliche Heilige wie beispielsweise die heilige Ursula handeln.Besonders beachtlich ist die an der Brust aufgesetzte Bergkristallbrosche, die noch in ihrer originalen Einfassung aus vergoldetem Kupfer vorhanden ist. Typischerweise wurden die Gewänder mittelalterlicher Figuren mit Halbedelsteinen besetzt, um durch den kostbaren Schmuck die Göttlichkeit der dargestellten Heiligen hervorzuheben. Als Vergleichsbeispiel kann die Muttergottes mit dem Bergkristall aus Köln um 1230 mit der Fassung vom Anfang des 14. Jahrhunderts gesehen werden (Museum Schnütgen, Inv.-Nr. A 14). Dem Bergkristall kann schon im Mittelalter ein hoher Stellwert zugeschrieben werden, da dieser das Göttliche manifestierte oder eine apotropäische, als übelabwehrende Funktion innehaben sollte. Jedoch kann die reine, transparente Materialität auch als in Zusammenhang mit der unbefleckten Empfängnis stehend interpretiert werden. Dieses Material dient daher häufig als Dekorelement auf Reliquienbehältnissen.Die Figur ist rückseitig gehöhlt und bemalt, wobei Reste einer Metallmontierung vorhanden sind. Dies offenbart die ursprüngliche Funktion der Skulptur als Reliquienbehältnis. Im Kölner Raum ist diese Funktion vergleichbar mit dem beliebten Kult der heiligen Ursula und der sogenannten Ursulabüsten, die von 1300 bis 1450 aus Nuss- oder Eichenholz geschnitzt und als Reliquiare für Knochen genutzt wurden.
