17th Century style brass and cast iron fire grate, the front turned supports having a globular finial and splayed terminals, overall width 73cm The back plate has a section approx. 15cm x 10cm to the rear left and has had a piece of angle-iron attached to enable it to stand. ‘The Hook Norton Brewery Pumping Set’. Comprising 3 individual steam power plants, fed by a large vertical cylindrical boiler 32cm. Fitted with pressure gauge with separate doors to fire box and grate, with safety valve to top. Also fitted with connecting hoses with taps to two of the three power units. Together with a small Stuart No.8 horizontal single cylinder engine, fitted with a 9cm 6 spoked fly wheel. Also A small single cylinder ‘table leg’ style pump engine with a 5.5cm flywheel and wooden lagged cylinder. Plus a substantial vertical twin cylinder pumping engine fitted with large cog wheel, 12cm, within lattice safety frame. 6 spoked flywheel 8cm, twin pistons to cam. All mounted on a substantial A frame support. Height to top of cog wheel 25cm. All mounted on a steel chequer plate base 51x38.5cm. Also to base is a 4 wheeled push along coal wagon on rails. GC one part of the hose from the boiler to No.8 is damaged and requires repair. Complete with paperwork and Brewery information booklet. See illustration.
