Late 19th Century hinged bangle, unmarked gold, the three rectangular cut stones with seed pearl set motifs between and with engraved decoration, 2.1cm wide, internal diameter 5.8cm, 26g gross Condition: There are scratch marks to the tongue of clasp where previously tested. The reverse of the bangle with a few small dents. The engraving crisp and clear. The three purple stones appear in good order, some with internal inclusion-type marks. The central stone approximately 15.5mm x 11.5mm. **General condition consistent with age

Provenienz: Aus dem Besitz der Prinzessin Jewgenia Iwanova Urussow (1861-1940), Tochter der Fürstin Ekatarina Naryshkin, verheiratet mit Hermann Karl Freiherr von Kap-herr (1863-1924). Bis heute im Besitz der Urenkelin von Jewgenia Urussow. A RUSSIAN SNAKE SHAPED ENAMEL AND DIAMOND BANGLE, St. Petersburg, c. 1860. 18ct. yellow gold (72 zolotnik standard). Blue translucient enamel, floral engravings. The head set with 35 old-cut and rose-cut diamonds, tog.c. 3 ct. St. Petersburg town mark, "72" zolotnik and unreadable maker's mark. C. 60,5 g. Minor damages to enamel. Provenance: Princess Jewgenia Ivanova Urussow (1861-1940), daughter of Princess Ekatarina Naryshkin and married to Hermann Karl Baron von Kap-herr (1863-1924). In familiar property of Princess Jewgenia's grand-grand daughter until today.
