A COLLECTION OF JEWELLERY Comprising a silver half patterned bangle; three silver brooches; a marked silver floral locket; and two Niello ware brooches, one marked Siam Silver the other with faded marks; the silver bangle with monogrammed initial to plain side, hallmarked for Birmingham, faded date letter, safety chain present, intact but with one part dangling, bangle diameter 6cm, bangle width 1.9cm, weight 56.9g. Condition Report : No noticeable dents or warps, opens and closes easily. A CELADON JADE 'EIGHT HORSES OF MU WANG' BANGLE, QING DYNASTYChina, 18th-19th century. The exterior deftly carved in relief with the Eight Horses of Muwang in various postures, one lying on its back with its legs in the air, another licking one of its hooves, and a third in full gallop. The translucent stone of a celadon tone with shadings of olive, brown, and cream tone as well as icy inclusions and veins.Provenance: From a private collection in Kent, England, mostly acquired during the 1970s and 1980s.Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear and traces of use.
