The opals with good play of colour, two stones with small chips. Gross weight 19.7gm.

Tarnish and discolouration to the gold would benefit from a professional polish. The diamonds bright and lively. Gross weight 9.8gm.

A tourmaline bangle, the hinged bangle of knifewire form and set to the front with a mixed-cut green tourmaline, inner dimensions 5.5 x 4.8cm. £300-£500 --- Condition Report According to a PMI test on an XRF Analyzer, the bangle is testing as 13ct gold. General light surface wear to the metal commensurate with use, and may benefit from a professional polish. The tourmaline is dark green hue with good transparency. Abrasion observed at the girdle. Gross weight 13.6gm.

A late 19th century ruby and diamond bangle, the hinged bangle of tapered form, the upper section set with an old brilliant-cut diamond between two circular-cut rubies, with granulation and beadwork decoration, inner dimensions 5.7cm x 4.8cm. £300-£360 --- Condition Report General light surface wear commensurate with age and use. The rubies well matched and the diamond bright and lively. Some signs of porosity to the metal in parts. Gross weight 9.4gm.

Lot 18

A mid - late 19th century opal and diamond bangle, the hinged bangle with bloomed finish, the front set with an alternating row of opal cabochons and old brilliant-cut diamonds, with granulation and bead work decoration, mounted in gold, stamped ‘15’, inner dimensions 5.5 x 4.8cm. £360-£400 --- Condition Report General light surface wear commensurate with age and use, with a small dent to the inner back. The opals with good play-of-colour and the diamonds bright and lively. One of the floral motifs found at either side of the gemstones slightly damaged (missing petal). Indistinct maker’s mark. Gross weight 10.3gm.

Lot 8

An opal and diamond bangle, the front set with a row of graduated opal cabochons, spaced by pairs of rose-cut diamonds, inner diameter 56mm. £200-£300 --- Condition Report The opals are fairly well matched, with a reasonable play of colour throughout, slight variation in the depth of cabochons, but with light surface wear only. The yellow gold mount is unmarked and untested, showing general light wear. Weight 9.1gm.

A sapphire and diamond bangle, set to the front with oval-cut sapphires spaced by pairs of brilliant-cut diamonds, inner diameter 6.0cm. £100-£150 --- Condition Report The sapphires with good transparency, appear well-matched in colour, a couple with small chips, some further minor nibbles evident under 10x magnification. The diamonds are bright but too small to accurately assess - one end diamond with large chip/loss. Hinge mechanism with some side-to-side movement when open - tongue not clicking/engaging fully when closed but secure with safety clip. Previous repair to clasp section evident. Weight 12.0gm.

A diamond hinged bangle, claw set with graduated brilliant-cut diamonds, total diamond weight approximately 1.30 carats, inner dimensions 5.5 x 4.5cm. £600-£800 --- Condition Report General light surface wear commensurate with use. Principal diamond SI2/I1, remaining diamonds bright and lively. According to a PMI test on an XRF Analyzer, the bangle is testing as 14ct gold. Gross weight 10.5gm.

A 9ct gold serpent bangle, 1923, with applied partial coiled serpent decoration, the head with green gem-set eyes, maker’s mark for Payton, Pepper & Sons Ltd, Birmingham hallmark, inner dimensions approximately 7.5 x 7cm. £300-£400 --- Condition Report General light surface wear commensurate with age and use. Some dents to the hollow bangle, and the inner seam where the metal joins slightly open. Green gemstone eyes untested. Gross weight 12.5gm.

An early 20th century diamond bangle and bar brooch suite, set to the front with a row of graduated old brilliant-cut diamonds, with rose-cut diamond highlights between, the tapered bar brooch en suite, mounted in platinum and gold, bangle inner diameter 5.9cm, brooch length 6.5cm. £700-£900 --- Condition Report The diamonds are bright and lively, all present and correct. The mounts show minimal wear. The safety chain of the bangle supports a small circular gold fob inscribed ‘Paco, 22-4-62’.
