An emerald and diamond bangle, of hinged oval form, the tapered frontispiece with channels of square step-cut emeralds and round brilliant-cut diamonds, yellow precious metal mounted, stamped '750', inner diameter 5.75cmEmeralds are mostly well matched, of light to mid green hues, most stones with fracture, fissure and mineral inclusions, some of the fractures surface-reaching. All have surface wear, scuffs and nicks and occasional stones are chipped. Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, total weight approx. 0.12ct. The mount is relatively modern, with surface wear, scuffs, chips and nicks, and patchy tarnishing. The clasp is currently functioning. Metal standard is untested. Width of bangle at centre of frontispiece 7.5mm. Gross weight approx. 16.3gm.
A turquoise set bangle, of hinged oval form, the pierced and tapered frontispiece of textured flowerheads and foliage highlighted with turquoise cabochons, 9ct gold mounted, hallmarked for London 1969, inner diameter 5.7cmThere are three small fine splits to the underside of the frontispiece, but these are not apparent to the front. Surface wear, scuffs and chips/nicks throughout mount. Patchy discolouration, pitting and scuffs to turquoise cabochons. Hallmarks are clearly struck, maker's mark is possibly 'BJ LD'. Width of mount tapers from 4mm to 10mm. Clasp is functioning. Gross weight approx. 14.7gm.
A Victorian garnet set bangle, of hinged oval hollow form, applied with a trio of foliate scroll decorated panels, each centred with a circular cabochon garnet in foiled closed-back setting, inner diameter 5.6cmGarnets are well matched, of deep brownish-red hues (foil backed), with surface wear, chips/nicks and surface-reaching fractures. Each cabcohon measures approx. 7mm in diameter. The edges of the settings have patchy thinning and small splits/creases. The bangle mount has surface wear, with a shallow ding to the back of the mount and scuffs/nicks throughout. Metal standard is untested but the mount is presumed to be gold. The safety chain is later added and base metal. The tongue clasp has previously been filed and has an area of dark discolouration, possibly caused by acid testing. Gross weight approx. 8.8gm.
A 9ct gold bracelet watch, the circular silvered dial with red and black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, to a jewelled manual wind movement, dial and movement signed Waltham, the hinged case numbered 11701 and 660561, signed Dennison, on an adjustable bangle bracelet stamped 'PREMO CLASPIT' and signed WHW LD, the case and bracelet with Birmingham hallmarks, case width 2.9cmCrazing, scuffs, scratches and chips to dial, losses to finish at edges of dial. Scuffs and scratches to glass. The case is heavily worn, with thinning to the shoulder lugs and a split to one shoulder. One of the bracelet shoulders is twisted out of shape and dented. The bracelet has general surface wear, with chips to the edges, and the clasp currently functions. Patchy wear to marks on the case and bracelet. The winder is gilt metal and heavily worn. The movement currently winds and runs but is untested for working order, which cannot be guaranteed. Gross weight (excluding dial and movement) approx. 23.3gm.
