The emerald bangle (lot 88) was a gift to Mary Louisa on the birth of their daughter, Aleid Schenck in 1884.The sapphire and diamond bangle (lot 89) belonged to John Frederick Schenck's sister, Emma Schenck and was a gift from her husband Charles Rowe Shepard on their wedding day.Four generations of the family are pictured in the photograph where one of the bangles is being worn by Mary Louisa Schenck.
