Daimler 2.5 V8 1966 - Now with us is this very pretty example of Daimler’s 250 V8 which was first registered in September of 1966. There is just something about the way these car sit with their distinctive Daimler fluted grille and rear number plate surrounds, distinctive wheel trims and badges accentuating the MK2 Jaguar lines these cars were based on. While still having the larger bumpers and over riders the 67 to 69 “250”version lost gives the appearance of a lower stance on the road. The body work on this car was restored a few years back now and while still very presentable there are one or two areas that could do with addressing if you wanted a show car (minor bubles under the paint along the boot trailing edge being the worse of it). All the chrome is nice and original with just the front screen chrome insert missing? There is the restorer’s plaque in place on the driver’s door sill. The Daimler V8 engine under the bonnet fires instantly and shows very good oil pressure and is very tidy, nicely original.Interior wise all is good with what looks to be the original leather, a little dry in places but nothing a good feed would not cure. The wood door capping’s and dash are nice and all the interior fixtures and fittings are present. Instrumentation on the dash is very nice with a “period” radio correctly fitted.Although last MOT’d up to March 2016 the car has stood for a while so a small amount of recommissioning will be in order but we can confirm the gearbox selects gears and the brakes work as we have driven it a short distance ourselves. At the moment the windscreen wipers do not operate though nor does the horn. Small details and something to give you an excuse to “tinker” with in the garage. These short fallings on what otherwise is a striking car are more than reflected in the vendors expectations of value and hence the low estimated value that has been given.

PLEASE NOTE: There is nothing in the 'Special Notes' section of this Elan's accompanying V5C Registration Document about the carburettor fire that it suffered during 2001. The fire saw it classified as a Category B Insurance Loss on 27th August 2001 with the following note: 'Bodyshell should have been crushed. Vehicle should not be on the road'. The original bodyshell was replaced with a strengthened reproduction one supplied by marque specialist Boss Motors as part of the 'chassis up' restoration that the Lotus underwent from 2012-2016. 'GEV 11H' was issued with a fresh, 'no advisories' MOT certificate on February 14th 2017.1969 Lotus Elan S4 Drophead Coupe - Sold from Lotus on 22/10/1969 to Len Street Engineering - Treated to a chassis up restoration including new bodyshell from 2012-2016 - £11,000+ in bills from Mick Miller, Paul Matty and Vincent Haydon but most labour done in-house Reputedly 1 of just 1,148 Elan S4s dispatched by Lotus in 1969, this particular Drophead Coupe example - chassis number 45/9463 - was registered to its previous keeper from 1980 until entering the current ownership some six years ago. Laid-up following a carburettor fire during 2001 which also saw it become the subject of an insurance total loss payment, the two-seater was treated to an extensive restoration from 2012-2016. Bills on file total over £11,000 despite the fact that the vendor and his brother undertook much of the associated labour themselves. An original Lotus component, the chassis was found to be remarkably sound but nonetheless galvanised for longevity purposes. Sourced from marque specialist Boss Motors along with an o/s door and o/s headlamp pod, the replacement Drophead Coupe bodyshell boasts a specially reinforced windscreen surround and sundry other strengthening. Fitted with a 'hotter' camshaft than standard, the 1.6 litre twin-cam engine also benefited from a reconditioned water pump, refurbished cylinder head and professionally overhauled Stromberg carburettors (by Gower & Lee £508.80) etc. The interior trim was renewed as was the hood. The seats currently fitted are from a Toyota MR2 because they allow a taller driver to be accommodated but the original Lotus items can be collected by the successful purchaser. Starting readily upon inspection, 'GEV 11H' is said to go and handle with all the aplomb typical of an Elan and is only being offered for sale due to the arrival of a new project. It is accompanied by copy photos of the restoration from a bare chassis upwards not to mention numerous invoices from the likes of Mick Miller Classic Lotus, Paul Matty Sportscars and Vincent Haydon Classic Lotus Cars.

1934 MORRIS "TEN-SIX"- SPORTSMANS 2-DOOR SALONNETTE COUPE WITH FAUX CABRIOLET COACHWORK Chassis No: 17927 Engine No: 55458 Registration No: JO 8706 Date of first registration: 23rd March 1934 Specification: 6-cylinders in-line pushrod overhead-valve 10HP-rated motor, with four-speed gearbox, four-wheel mechanical brakes, live rear-axle with semi-elliptic spring suspension all round. Colour scheme: Black with black wings and black fabric roof; tan leather interior. History: By the early 1930s the well-tried, trusted and proven range of Morris Cars primarily based on their reliable side-valve engined types proved the need for a more modern approach in-line with developments in the industry. The range of cars introduced in late 1933 and early 1934 saw a new premise for the more discerning motorist, with a more sporting outlook in both design and performance. The new "Ten-Six" overhead-valve motor would become the basis for a range of more sporting machines, with bespoke coachwork offering in open & closed formats in both two and four-seater variants. Type MT12. Car No. 34/TS 24187. Engine No. 55458. Sadly, for all that the car represents, both a rarity and excellent state of preservation and appearance, the history file is very thin with no previous ownership evidence seemingly available. However, a complete engine rebuild was carried out in c1998, and from all appearances it would seem that much of the rest of the car was completely refurbished to a high standard. Condition: A fine detail is the original enamelled dashboard suppliers plate inscribed "The Morris Garages - Oxford" - this being a rare item in itself. The vehicle appears in excellent restored condition: black paintwork with leather interior trim, with opening windscreen and sliding-head sunroof. A rare model - well maintained in original specification condition. There are no old-style logbooks, but a current V5C document is present in the file, which shows the late owner to have been registered keeper of this car since 1985
1934 MORRIS "SPECIAL TEN-SIX"- 4-SEATER OPEN SPORTS-TOURER COACHWORK Chassis No: 35/TS/SP36676 Engine No: 4228 Registration No: ABP 460 Date of first registration: 18TH September 1934 Specification: 1,378cc 6-cylinders in-line pushrod overhead-valve 10HP-rated motor, twin-carburettor with four-speed gearbox, four-wheel mechanical brakes, live rear-axle with semi-elliptic spring suspension all round. Colour scheme: Red with black wings and matching red leather interior. History: By the early 1930s the well-tried trusted and proven range of Morris Cars primarily based on their reliable side-valve engined types proved the need for a more modern approach in-line with developments in the industry. The range of cars introduced in late 1933 and early 1934 saw a new premise for the more discerning motorist, with a more sporting outlook in both design and performance. The new "Ten-Six" overhead-valve motor would become the basis for a range of more sporting machines with bespoke coachwork options in open & closed formats and two and four-seater variants. Type MT12. Car No. 35/TS/SP 36676. Engine No. 4228. Sadly, for all that the car represents, both a rarity and excellent state of preservation and appearance, the history file is very thin with no previous ownership evidence seemingly available prior to 1978. However, a there is evidence of a complete engine rebuild carried out in c2013, and from all appearances it would seem that much of the rest of the car was at some time completely refurbished to a high standard. The open touring coachwork shows a very sporting appearance with heavily louvred bonnet & side valances, wind-deflecting double-raised scuttle and low fold-flat windscreen, whilst the dashboard layout has a well-defined plated instrument panel with large combination tacho/speedometer and full range of clock & dial-gauges, complemented with a racing-style "Ashby"-pattern 4-spoke steering-wheel and two-eared dummy knock-off hubcap covers to Magna-pattern wire-spoked wheels, and further with fitted stone-guards to the imposing headlamps and matching heavily-chromed bright-work. The "Morris Special" ethos is entailed in the polished alloy rocker-cover and unique enamel circular badge to the spare-wheel cover with "MS" logo motif. Condition: The vehicle appears in excellent restored condition: red paintwork with contrasting black wings and red leather interior trim and black double-duck canvas hood. An extremely rare model of a very limited production run of this particular type: the fore-runner of the later VA & WA tourers of the later 1930s. Very well maintained in original specification condition. There are no old-style logbooks, but a current V5C & older V5 document is present in the file, which shows the late owner to have been registered keeper of this car since 1993, and one prior owner dating back to 1978

A 1977 Citroen 2CV, registration number TLC 894R, white. TLC 894R has been the subject of a full restoration over a period of three years. During the restoration the body was completely resprayed after body repairs including new floors, lower bulkhead, rear inner wing section, rear light panel, vent flap and windscreen, refurbished doors, wings, boot and bonnet. The structure was then thoroughly injected with Dinatrol cavity wax protection. The interior has been re-trimmed with a new set of Harrington white leatherette seat covers and matching door cards, black carpets and quality softtop. Further improvements were incorporated during the restoration including the fitting of disc front brakes, inertia seatbelts, an additional windscreen demister, uprated headlamps, an indicator lamp and main beam lamps have been incorporated into the instrument panel. Unusually, the 2CV retains its original tools with the winter grill muff. The vendor says that after the restoration the 2CV drives very well and is presented in excellent condition. There is an accompanying history file with receipts and SORN. V5C, MOT to April 2017 See illustrations
A 1953 Jaguar XK120 Roadster, registration number PTT 304, pastel green, continuous family history from 1958. This original Devon registered XK has a fascinating history. The vendor's father knew the car from new when it was delivered to A C Bulpin in Newton Abbot in 1953. As a twenty year old mechanic, the price on the windscreen was way beyond his means, but move on five years and one change of owner and the young Mr Harrison was able to seal the deal and become the proud owner of the XK. The vendor's involvement with the Jaguar began in 1961 when he returned home from hospital as a babe in arms in the XK. The vendor's father competed with the Jaguar at various hill climbs and sprints in period including Wiscombe where he won fastest time of the day in 1966. Around the same time the engine was changed for a hot 3.8 litre version with a lightened fly wheel, wide sump, competition clutch, balance crank and polished and ported head. With a new engine installed, an experimental Tecalamit fuel injection system was installed by Martin Motors Workshop near Haldon. This was quite a set up for the day and which the vendor's father said was excellent when working well improving low down torque, but had a tendency to oil its plug up at tickover and this became troublesome in traffic. With commitments and a lack of garage space, the decision was taken to lend the Jaguar to the Totnes Motor Museum where it remained for several years. Fast forward to the late 1970s and the vendor was now taking a keen interest in the car. He persuaded his father to remove the Jaguar from the museum and recommission it. At this time, the decision was taken to remove the fuel injection system and reinstate a twin two inch SU set up. During the 1980s storage became a problem again with the car moving from a rented garage to barn until the vendor started working for the World of Country Life Museum and the Jaguar found a new home as an exhibit when it was not being used by the vendor on rallies and road runs. During the 1990s, the Jaguar was resprayed in its original pastel green, new wire wheels with stainless steel spokes were fitted and a disc brake conversion was installed. The car is now presented in a good useable state with a well patternated original green leather interior and still sports the hot 3.8 litre racing engine. This well maintained XK comes to the market for the first time in over 58 years. RF60, V5C See illustrations

2001 Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport - Believed one of only 16 UK supplied RHD Club Sports and featuring the original sales invoice for £131,710- An extraordinary number of factory and dealer fitted extras including carbon pack, bucket seats, and special colour- Only one owner form new and just 55,000 recorded miles with a very comprehensive maintenance recordWhen Porsche launched the 996 version of their 911 GT2 in 2000, the car swiftly gained iconic status as one of the most focused and fastest Porsche production cars ever manufactured. With the reported 462bhp produced from its twin turbo flat six engine being transferred to the road through the rear wheels only (the Turbo model had four wheel drive), performance was electrifying with 60mph being achieved from rest in just under 4 seconds and a top speed of about 198mph.The comprehensive history file on this rather special GT2 Club Sport contains both the handwritten order form and the sales invoice form AFN Porsche on London's Park Lane. They state that the options chosen when new were special paint, carbon package, leather console, carbon rear console, leather sport steering wheel and leather steering column casing, front floor mats, leather interior light, carbon door entrance panels, aluminium dials, carbon gearshift and handbrake, top-tint windscreen, centre console, Becker radio/CD, Club Sport package, leather bucket seats, coloured wheel centres, passenger six-point harness, and security glass covering. The total of the two-page invoice was a generous £131,710.The purchaser resided in Bayswater, West London, and was very much a Porsche enthusiast who raced a modern 911, but despite having his own workshop to maintain his racing car, he entrusted the supplying dealer's Reading workshops to maintain the car for the first four annual services, and Porsche Hatfield for the 2006 and 2007 services. Thereafter he had the car maintained in his own workshop and transferred the registration into the name of his racing team in March 2013. As well as the aforementioned invoices, the history file also contains many maintenance invoices, many expired MOT certificates, and the hand book pack. With only a reported 129 GT2 models imported by Porsche into the UK when new of which apparently only 16 were to Club Sport specification, this one owner car has a super provenance and is described by the vendor as being excellent in all respects. It is sure to attract the interest of Porsche collectors.
