Registration – SDX 894Chassis No. – Z87C/146013YM.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 126,000Beautifully presented, this example of Ford’s first-generation Consul Cortina is a five-door estate version, and presented in tasteful grey bodywork with white side-stripe following the shoulder line. Powered by Ford’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder Kent engine, here it drives the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. With its wide grille, ‘Consul’ branding towards the leading edge of the bonnet, and wing-mirrors placed forward of the windscreen, ‘SDX 894’ retains many of its original features. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in blue, with upholstery, door cards, dash top, and steering wheel sharing the same shade. In Deluxe 1500 trim, the door tops and dashboard are body-coloured, while the front seats are a single bench, with a column-mounted shifter allowing for an additional passenger in the front.‘SDX 894’ is offered with a very good history of ownership and has been cherished by fans of the MkI Cortina. In fact, it has previously been owned by the second member of the MkI Cortina Owners Club, and is currently in the hands of the Chairman. As such, it has been cherished, and the vendor describes the bodywork, paint, and interior as in ‘good’ condition, while the engine, transmission, and electrics are ‘average’ for this model. Described as ‘running well’, ‘SDX 894’ benefits from a new servo, disc brakes upgrade with copper brake pipes, a stainless steel exhaust, electronic ignition, and wax-oiled doors. Displaying an indicated 126,700 miles, this example of the Consul Cortina MkI has been carefully looked after, despite having gone once around the clock, and been recorded as a Category C write-off.· Fine example of Ford’s first-generation Consul Cortina· Long history of ownership· Practical classic with front bench seat and estate rearFord introduced the Consul Cortina MkI in 1962, replacing the Consul, with a design from Roy Abbott Brown Jr – recently dispatched to Ford of Britain after his Edsel was not well received Stateside. His career in the UK certainly didn’t suffer the same fate. Available as a two- or four-door saloon, or five-door estate, the Consul Cortina was designed to be a best-seller from the off, and came with a choice of engines and transmissions. The Consul name, retained from the previous model and combined with the 1956 Winter Olympics-inspired ‘Cortina’ badge, was dropped in 1964, as Ford saw a comprehensive marketing campaign, including race and rally-success, keep the MkI in production until 1966.

Registration – UWE 12YChassis No. – SAXXL2S1020137495M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 68,877Somehow the description “Mini 1000 City E” doesn’t quite get to the essence of ‘UWE 12Y,’ such are the extent of the upgrades that have been lavished on this Mini. ‘UWE 12Y’ arrives from a period of long term ownership of over 10 years and presents in a full competition specification. As such ‘UWE 12Y’ will lend itself to a range of competitive endeavours or, as it is road registered, for fast road use. Top amongst ‘UWE 12Y’s’ long list of quality specification enhancements must be the 1330cc competition engine which has covered just 500 miles since it was newly fitted. Other extensive enhancements have been made to every aspect of this Mini. Judging by its windscreen sticker it has competed under FIA regulations before so represents a great opportunity to acquire a competition focussed Mini. ‘UWE 12Y’ is now MOT exempt and zero rated for road tax. It was last MOT’d as recently as 2023, however, and gained an advisory free pass at 68,863 miles.‘UWE 12Y’s’ new engine is a 1330cc unit fitted with a Weber single 40 side draught carburettor and a Mangoletsi throttle linkage. The cylinder head is a big valve version with roller rockers and a Kent 286 camshaft. The block is located using Minisport engine steadies and stabiliser bracket. The exhaust manifold is big bore item with accompanying big bore centre exit system. Reportedly the shell was prepared around 5 years ago courtesy of a complete strip down and a new front end. A fibreglass bonnet, boot and lightened doors were also fitted at this stage together with polycarbonate windows with door sliders. ‘UWE 12Y’ was treated to a complete rewire at this stage and the brake and fuel lines renewed and internally routed. Other key mechanical enhancements include Gaz adjustable shock absorbers and variable tie bars as well as Cooper S discs and callipers on the front. The rear brakes feature Minisport backplates and shoe assemblies with Superfin drums. These hide behind 6J x 10-inch Revolite alloys shod with Yokohama A008 165/80 tyres.Internally, ‘UWE 12Y’ is clearly configured for competition. A Safety Devices bolt in, multipoint item and the STR race seats and harnesses were accredited until 2023 but appear hardly used. A deeply dished, quick release race steering wheel is also fitted. The vendor rates every aspect of ‘UWE 12Y’ as “good.”In summary:· An extensively modified, competition focussed Mini ready for a range of disciplines· Benefitting from a new, heavily upgraded engine just 500 miles ago· Road registered and now MOT and VED exempt due to Historic Vehicle status

Lot 49

Registration – OU69 DXHChassis No. – SGT09KKFB12011MSM.O.T. – June 2025Odometer – 168Southern GT have built a fearsome reputation in the evocation car market by producing the highest quality GT40 kits and parts available today. ‘OU69 DXH’ doubles down on that reputation by having been fastidiously built from a complete kit over 10 years with over 5,000 hours expended. This culminated in ‘OU69 DXH’ gaining its Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) in 2019 and being allocated this year specific registration number. Whilst based on the iconic MKI GT40, ‘OU69 DXH’ features MKII rear bodywork. ‘OU69 DXH’s’ tubular spaceframe and aluminium panelled body is propelled by a 302 cu. in. V8 stroked to 347 cu.in. (5.7-litres) built by Gurney Weslake and producing over 400 bhp. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a Quaife five speed transaxle with an upgraded ATB (500 bhp) differential. This superlative car comes with a valid, advisory free MOT until June 2025. Given the quality and specification of ‘OU69 DXH’ it could legitimately be considered less of an evocation and more a highly individual road / race car in its own right.‘OU69 DXH’s’ low, sleek body comprises of around 70 aluminium panels affixed to a tubular spaceframe skeleton, complete with an integrated roll cage. The panels are finished in Ford Performance Blue and encompass some superb GT40 details. First there are the signature doors that constitute part of the roof and include in built “helmet humps.” Correct bulleted fuel caps with lock internals are also fitted as are period correct “bullet” wing mirrors. Modern enhancements include LED rear lights and an external electric master kill switch. ‘OU69 DXH’ squats purposefully on the correct ‘BRM’ 15-inch magnesium alloy wheels – 8J at the front and 10J rears. These are centrally mounted via triple eared knock on spinners.‘OU69 DXH’s’ focused cabin manages to blend an authentic 1960’s race car aesthetic with a raft of invaluable modern conveniences and enhancements. The period faithful, low slung black leather bucket seats immediately grab the eye. These are perforated with six rows of alloy eyelets. Red Luke five point, 2-inch racing harnesses are fitted. An adjustable peddle box features, together with brake bias adjustment. The wide dashboard is flocked to reduce glare, and this provides a home to a set of Autometer “pro comp” gauges including a 6-inch tachometer and 200 mph speedometer. A race GPS data logger is also fitted and period accurate Lucas style toggle switches abound. There are a number of subtle, modern enhancements also included here. A heating and air-conditioning system are present, as is a heated windscreen, engine immobiliser, keyless ignition and starter button. A Lifeline hard plumbed fire extinguishing system is present with cockpit and engine bay jets.Needless to say, ‘OU69 DXH’s’ mechanical specification is no less awe-inspiring. The Gurney Weslake built V8 features a balanced crankshaft, KB performance pistons with steel conrods, and full ported and polished aluminium ARP heads housing a COMP Cam’s extreme race camshaft. Also noteworthy is an ARP head stud conversion with hydraulic rollers and COMP Cam valve strings. Edelbrock rocker covers are fitted together with four barrel Holley carburettor, MSD digital distributor, AP lightweight flywheel and AP racing clutch. In terms of ancillaries, a custom alloy radiator with high flow core is fitted, as is a “bundle of snakes” tubular exhaust system with ceramic coating. Underneath ‘OU69 DXH’ lurks a rose jointed race suspension, with machined uprights and adjustable antiroll bars. These work together with Ohlins adjustable height coil overs with three way adjustable dampers. Braking is courtesy of AP Racing four callipers front and rear, acting upon AP Racing grooved and vented disks on machined hubs.Given the attention to detail and fastidiousness of this unique build, it may come as no surprise that the vendor rates all aspects of ‘OU69 DXH’ as “excellent.”

Additionally, a service book stamped up to 129,000 is also present. ‘RX52NMM’ currently holds an MOT until November 2025 so is ready use immediately. ‘RX52NMM’ holds a category D insurance marker from August 2017.The E39 BMW was the first 5 Series released under the auspices of BMW design guru, Chris Bangle. Lot 8

Registration – Y5 FSTChassis No. – WF03XXGCD37K85239M.O.T. – July 2025Odometer – 66,000This vibrant 2007 Ford Focus ST, resplendent in iconic Electric Orange, is described by the vendor as a “stunning example”. An original three-door example of the Mk2 Ford Focus ST, it uses a 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo engine, which produces 225hp. This powerplant is now a legendary engine and is sure to become as desirable amongst collectors as the 1970s Ford BDA and 1980s Ford Cosworth 2.0-litre turbo. Even the registration, ‘Y5FST’ references this engine, adding to the desirability of this car. The engine is paired with a precise six-speed manual gearbox. Being a Ford Focus ST2 model, this car also features standard Xenon headlights, CD autochanger and a Quickclear heated windscreen. ‘Y5FST’ has been enthusiast-owned, with the vendor firmly saying they are not a boy racer. It has been really well looked after, with condition described as ‘excellent’ throughout – including engine, transmission, electrics, bodywork and interior. The odometer reads just 66,000 miles. The vendor has enhanced it with some well-judged upgrades including a K&N induction kit to make that five-cylinder engine breathe (and sound) even better. The engine has been remapped to take advantage of this. It has been lowered on Eibach springs, and fitted with uprated White Line anti-roll bars. The vendor adds there are four brand-new Pirelli P Zero premium tyres. The Ford Focus ST was the spiritual successor to the famous Ford Escort XR3i. The first iteration, the ST170, was introduced in 2002. It had a 170hp 2.0-litre engine and subtly enhanced styling. It was the Mk2 Focus ST that really set the world alight, though. This time, it had a warbling 2.5-litre turbo five-cylinder engine, producing a warbling 225hp, for 0-62mph in just 6.4 seconds. An icon was born, and the five-cylinder Ford Focus ST’s cult following amongst enthusiasts continues to grow today. · “Stunning” 2007 Ford Focus ST· Enthusiast-owned and in ‘excellent’ condition throughout· Four new Pirelli P Zero tyres

Registration – YE54 ZLNChassis No. – SALLDVB575A689755M.O.T. – April 2025Odometer – 116,000Stylishly presented in Zambezi Silver with black accents, this example of Land Rover’s iconic Defender is the three-door 90 wheelbase model, and is offered at no reserve. Powered by Land Rover’s robust five-cylinder 2.5-litre TD5 diesel unit, power goes through a five-speed manual gearbox, to all four wheels of course. Distinct and well specified, ‘YE54 ZLN’ features a number of black design elements to distinguish it from the crowd. A gloss black grille and headlight surround complements the roof and five-spoke alloy wheels, while practical features include the kick-plates on the bonnet and front wings, side tread bars, a tow-bar, low-range transmission, and snorkel. Inside, there is seating for six, with two up front and four on side-mounted rear seats, and there’s a wire mesh bulkhead fitted in this example of the Defender 90. Although famously utilitarian in design, this Defender comes with electric front windows and heated front seats.Despite having been on the road for more than 20 years, the vendor is just the third keeper in its lifetime, and ‘YE54 ZLN’ has been in their care for more than 15 years. Displaying an indicated 116,831 miles on the odometer, it’s covered relatively low mileage over the years, and comes with a full service history, from a mixture of dealership and specialist garages. Offered with two keys, ‘YE54 ZLN’ is considered in ‘good’ condition throughout – covering engine, transmission, electrics, paint, bodywork, and interior – and is offered for sale at no reserve with two keys and owner’s manuals.· Fine example of Land Rover’s six-seater County Defender· Well maintained and cared for across just three previous owners· Striking colour scheme and specification in sought-after modelThe Land Rover Defender was introduced in 1983, as a more modern development of the original Series Land Rover introduced in 1948. Visually, it retained the classic looks, but featured notable upgrades such as coil springs front and rear, a full-length bonnet, integrated headlights, single-piece windscreen and wider tracks with extended wheelarches. A true design icon, the Defender was continually developed right up until production ended in 2016 – and the name today survives in an all-new and brilliantly-conceived version that pays tribute to the original in a thoroughly modern way.

Registration – Q786 DPGChassis No. – EC95SE3637M.O.T. – NOOdometer – 46,097This racy-looking Westfield SE, finished in rich maroon, is a car that’s clearly been honed by an enthusiast. It is powered by a 2.1-litre Ford Escort Pinto engine, which produces 150bhp. The engine has a Kent FR32 fast road cam, twin Dellorto 40’s, and a Ford EDIS ignition module replacing the distributor. There’s a Megajolt ignition control and new leads, all topped off by a chrome Burton Power rocker cover. With a kerbweight of just 590kg, the rebuilt engine, which cost £7k, ensures performance is electrifying. ‘Q786DPG’ was registered as a kit car in February 1996; just a few years later, it attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed, according to a sticker in the windscreen. Carbon fibre front fenders complement the classic headlights, and there’s a matt carbon fibre bonnet for added contrast. The 15-inch alloys are black too, and shod in premium Uniroyal tyres. A side-exit exhaust adds to its potency, while a collection of motorsport stickers point to enthusiast ownership. A hood is included too. Inside, its paired-back cabin has bucket seats fitted with Westfield-branded harnesses, and a leather steering wheel. There’s an array of premium Stack dials for volts, oil pressure and water temperature, but otherwise the interior is minimalist. Westfield Sportscars was founded in 1982 in Kingswinford as a rival to Caterham Cars. Its kits were very similar to the Lotus Seven-derived Caterham Seven – so much so, Caterham threatened litigation. This saw Westfield change the styling of its cars, which allowed it to move away from the traditional approach followed by Caterham. It introduced independent rear suspension, along with models powered by superbike engines – there was even a turbocharged Westfield. Lot 233

Fully retrimmed in leather in 2022Freshly servicedCompeted in The Cape 1000 in March 2024Upgraded to a 2,000cc engineThe Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior was introduced in 1972, to plug the gap between the GT 1300 Junior and the newly introduced GTV 2000. The engine was substantially the same as the Giulia Sprint GTV discontinued four years previously and had the same engine type number. The final drive ratio was again 9/41 as standard on all 105 series coupés with the 1290cc and 1570cc engines. From 1974 onwards, the GT 1300 Junior and GT 1600 Junior were rationalised onto a common platform of models with the GTV 2000 and rebadged as the 1.3 GT Junior and 1.6 GT Junior respectively, sharing most of the interior and exterior features of the larger engine car. Production ended in 1976/77 and totalled 13,120 units for the 1.6 GT Juniors. A flourishing market has emerged with companies producing spare parts and upgrades for the Alfa 105 range, most notably Alfaholics with their GTA replicas. The car on offer is a recent import from South Africa, with all duties paid and now registered with a V5 registration document. The car comes with various import documents, along with a copy of its South African registration document. This example was first registered in South Africa in 1974 (based on the chassis number it was likely built in 1973). The history of the car dates back to 2010 where it is referenced on a post on the AlfaBB forum and at the time it already had a 2000cc engine fitted, which was a common update to the GT Juniors both in period and subsequently. During this period, the car appears to have had some improvements to make it a fast road car, including a lowering kit added to improve handling. The car was purchased by the previous owner in 2021, who from 2022 undertook some work to refresh the car. A full new interior was installed with new leather seats (as opposed to the vinyl that the car would have had originally), new carpets and the steering wheel was recovered in leather. New period correct seatbelts were installed along with a new headlining and at the same time, the carpets in the boot were replaced to match the car. In September 2022, the car was entered in the annual Alfa concours event held at Modderfontein and was placed second in the 105 series Giulia class. Later in that month, the car took part in the Distinguished Gentleman's Drive charity event around Johannesburg and performed without fault. In 2023 preparations began to get the car for the 2024 Cape 1000 regulatory rally, which is a four-day event around the scenic western cape. Work included a new heater box from Classic Alfa, installation of Alfaholic pedals, a full service, including new oil pressure sender, windscreen washer bottle and fixing a gearbox leak, new battery and new spare tyre. The car then took part in The Cape 1000 from 14th March 2024 and the only issue encountered was a battery lead coming loose. The rally was completed with the car travelling 1630 kilometres in the four days (the car can be seen on various YouTube videos of the event) and it was then serviced in May 2024, with new plugs and a petrol sender installed. The car was imported into the UK in 2024 and had a number of replacement items from Classic Alfa and Veloce Sport fitted, as well as the cooling system flushed and new coolant added, whilst waiting to be registered with the DVLA. In preparation for sale, the car has been looked at by a local restoration company and has had new brake and clutch master cylinders, brake union, suspension/steering rubbers and tuning .This car is now ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian and representing excellent value for money. Lot 226

• Extensive restoration over a number of years • Complete with original hardtop and storage frame • Comprehensive history file including new MoT test certificate Originally spotted by the vendor during a drive through the German countryside, this 190 SL was in classic ‘barn-find’ condition and had been in this state for a number of years, the result of a deceased spouse. After an equitable arrangement was arrived at, it was then imported into the UK in 1973, as per the original H.M. Customs & Excise document shown in the history folder. Including, of course, a number of other official import documents, including notification of vehicle arrival (NOVA). The official date of manufacture was later confirmed by Mercedes-Benz as the 21st March 1960, a formal document received after an extensive period of restoration with initial UK registration taking place in April 2016. MoT test certificates are also filed for 2015 and 2017 with a brand new one for the year 2025/2026 as well as vehicle tax from 2017 onwards, despite the zero historic vehicle cost. Almost all parts that were damaged or corroded have been sourced by official German and English SL specialists, notably rebuilt Solex carburettor kits, all suspension components amongst many more from SLS in Hamburg and Motorvation, a complete new subframe from AFL in London, Niemöller in Mannheim and bumpers, carbs, brakes and steering as well as numerous other parts and labour from Hilton & Moss in Essex. Much of the later restoration took place by Motorvation, a classic car restoration specialist based in Hertfordshire and established back in the 1980s. Over the past 40 years, Motorvation has been involved in classic car servicing, restoration, classic race/rally preparation and caring from a basic oil change right up to fast-road suspension set-up for a Goodwood Group 5 Lancia Stratos. Much work was undertaken including a rebuilt dynamo, a hood frame that was prepared for the preparation and fitting of all material panels to include the removal and re-fitting of the front windscreen and wooden dashboard sections. Quite apart from the complete engine bench-strip and rebuild in 2012, significant restoration of the coachwork has also taken place with new front floors, exhaust sections and other parts to fit. Needless to say, all bright-work has been re-chromed and refitted with magnificent reflective surfaces all round. Steering was built back up as indeed were the electrics throughout. In fact, from the suspension to the heater matrix and pretty much everything in-between has been stripped down, re-built and re-installed costing many thousands of pounds. If fact, going through the heavy Leaver-Arch file of invoices, the costs are significantly more than the reserve set by the vendor. Indeed, the process as a whole took, reportedly, nigh on 15 years. The rebuild was thorough and included stripping the engine down, polishing the crankshaft, resurfacing the valves and seats, re-boring the block and grinding the thrust faces to suit the shells. The radiator has been re-cored by the right people, Feltham Radiators Ltd. There were numerous issues to overcome but all were addressed methodically and correctly until the engine was fully installed and ready to run. This was all taken care of by Motorvation and Bob Harman Performance Ltd of Hertfordshire. Motorvation rebuilt the Solex carburettors although, at time of writing, they are still problematic and so Silchester Garage in Hampshire, well respected SL specialists are going through the car in preparation for the sale which will include the carburettors, headlights, some trim and various other elements that need tidying up. The interior appears to be in excellent condition with good but original front leather seating and completely re-upholstered fresh carpet, trim and all associated additional detailing. New Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres are fitted to each corner with matching chrome and painted hubcaps as well as an original (but worn) spare in the boot, even the correct jack is present. All instruments and lighting have been re-wired correctly and linkages re-aligned right down to the glove compartment lid and associated chrome strip. It has clearly been well restored over the years with body panels correctly by Smooth Classic Restorations and mechanically overhauled by a series of professional and dedicated specialists right down to the soft and hardtop. This represents an extremely fine example, well documented and arguably in one of the most desirable and marketable colour schemes. Furthermore, it benefits from a matching hardtop, something that is not always present with these W121's and certainly not easy to find. Supplied in splendid condition with a comprehensive history alongside and certainly an example that could carry off any amount of winner’s silverware. Consigned by Edward Bridger-Stille Interested parties should note that, once this car has been sold, it will be collected by Mercedes-Benz specialist, Silchester Garage, and have the works finished on the hardtop/rear-screen and fitted prior to delivery. All this to take place at the vendor's expense. The Daimler 250 V8 was produced by Daimler from 1962 to 1969. It is known for its elegant design, luxurious interior and powerful engine. The 250 V8 is powered by a 2.5 litre V8 engine, producing 140bhp and 155 lb-ft of torque, which provides a far smoother and more refined driving experience to its shoutier Jaguar cousin. The 250 V8 was a popular choice among luxury car buyers in the 1960s due to its comfortable ride and high-end features, such as leather seats, wood trim, and electric windows. Its classic design, with its iconic fluted grille and sleek lines, has aged well and is still highly regarded by classic car enthusiasts.First registered 13th November 1698, this Daimler 250 boasting the lovely V8 engine is presented in burgundy with a contrasting black leather trim. The interior has been restored including new headlining and a 007 style hidden 7" screen for Satellite Navigation and audio professionally installed in the glove box. The wheels are painted black and the lucky number seven adorns the car. The previous owner used the car as a fast road/rally ‘Coombs’ style tribute and entered several road rallies. The dealer sticker in the rear windscreen alludes to the car having perhaps been supplied or at some point sold by Coombs themselves. Boasting upgrades including race specification aluminium radiator and with the V8 engine, the vendor describes the car as great fun to drive. Offered to auction without reserve, this Daimler is sure to generate interest. Build in excess of £100,000280bhp 3.8 litre engine with limited slip differentialGumball 3000 rally entrantEngine rebuild circa 200 miles agoThe Coombs Jaguar is a modified version of the Jaguar Mk. II 3.8 litre that was prepared for racing in the 1960s by the Coombs race team. The Coombs Jaguar was known for its performance, handling, and braking, and was driven by notable drivers including Graham Hill and Roy Salvadori. Essentially, the Coombs conversion for road cars consisted of an uprated engine matched by steering and suspension modifications, but the company offered a plethora of options from which customers could choose. They included an additional fuel tank, a wood-rim steering wheel and a chrome plated boot rack. Coombs would also modify the rear wheel arches, removing the spats and making up rolled edges to match the profile of the front wheel arches. The primary objective of this was to improve access for wheel changing during motorsport events, but the modification improved the appearance of the car so much that it is surprising Jaguar themselves did not adopt the modification for production cars. Not all the Coombs cars had the same state of tune, but the typical engine had 9:1 compression pistons, a lightened flywheel and a different carburettor air-intake system. The whole bottom-end assembly would be balanced and the cylinder head would be gas-flowed. A number of Coombs-style cars feature a louvred bonnet but this was not an advertised option in the early days. This stunning Coombs evocation was purchased by our vendor in 2005 as a standard manual 3.4 litre Mk. II. A two-owner car at the time, it was first registered on 7th May 1969. Our vendor ran the car and enjoyed it for some time, in 2011 the decision however was taken to fully restore and uprate the car to a fast road, ‘Coombs Evocation’ with no stone unturned, a project that spanned three years completing in 2014. The cost of the build was well into six figures and when completed the quality, comfort and ability of the car enabled our vendor to take the car on the Gumball 3000 rally, stretching its legs amongst modern Lamborghinis, Ferraris and the world’s top supercars, rubbing shoulders with celebrities on the way.The build for HOO 429B started with a chemical dipped bodyshell prior to any repairs, then a second chemical dip before an ‘E Cote’ was carried out on the completed bodyshell. The engine compartment and inner wings were modified to accommodate the additional required equipment and the 3.4 litre engine was raised to 3.8 litres. Specially designed performance camshafts were made and added to component upgrades with Triple SU carburettors during the rebuild providing 280bhp at the flywheel and 315 lbft of torque at 4600rpm fed by twin fuel tanks with two position Monza filling caps. The engine is mated to a five speed fully re-built ‘Supra’ gearbox and bespoke prop shaft with limited slip differential. The suspension was poly bushed and powder coated and sits on classic Koni race shock absorbers behind the Borrani wire wheels and three eared Borrani spinners. A stainless-steel exhaust manifold is mated to a bespoke stainless-steel exhaust system and stopping is courtesy of up-rated Coopercraft brakes with dual action servo while cooling via an aluminium radiator and Kenlowe electric cooling fan. Other necessary mechanical upgrades include an up-rated alternator bespoke pedal box with brake balance bar, power steering, oil cooler and bespoke handbrake system. The car received full bespoke re-wiring before the inside of the car was subject to a raft of upgrades including, upgraded wiper system, electric central locking, electric windows front and rear, twin air conditioning systems to maximise ‘in car’ cooling, Sundym glass throughout with heated front and rear windscreen and self-dimming rear view mirror. The entire car benefited from a Dynamat sound proofing, Inertia seatbelts were fitted to all seats and a special under rear seat battery box housing a high technology race battery. The car has a high-end sound system, DVD entertainment, safety and security ‘tracker’ system and a raft of addition convenience lights fitted to the front footwell compartments, under the boot and bonnet, kerb/sill lights on the lower edge of all four doors along with modern door open lights fitted to opening face/edge on all four doors.Of course, this is all in a cabin finished with European Walnut trim throughout and full leather upholstery with uprated non-Mk. II Jaguar, bespoke trimmed front seats fitted with electric assist motors, seat heaters and Jaguar bespoke trimmed heated rear seats. Looking down the nose of the Coombes style aluminium bonnet and with the necessary wheel spats and Mk. II chromework, this is a stunning example. The shut lines are fantastic and unlike any Mk. II our consignor has seen, the doors shut with an almost Germanic thud rather than a typical Mk. II clang!Having completed the Gumball rally in 2014 and enjoyed the Mk. II, our vendor has more recently had the engine fully rebuilt with the run in process complete but barely a few hundred miles covered since. Being part of a larger collection it has been used sparingly since its 2014 exploits and warm garaged when not used. One of, if not the most comprehensive upgraded builds we have had the pleasure to offer, this example is sure to be very popular with both Jaguar enthusiasts but also those looking for something very special. Matching numbersExcellent order throughoutGenuine right hand drive exampleThe Volkswagen Beetle was produced from 1938 until 2003. With over 21 million manufactured in an air-cooled, rear engine and rear wheel drive configuration, it is the longest running and most manufactured car of a single design platform anywhere in the world. During the 1950's, it was modified progressively; the most obvious visual changes being the rear window. Towards the end of 1964, the height of the side windows and windscreen grew slightly giving the cabin a less pinched look which coincided with the introduction of a very slightly curved 'panoramic' windscreen. The same body appeared throughout 1966 with a 1300cc engine in place of the 1200cc engine; it was only in the 1973 model Super Beetle that it displayed an obviously curved windscreen. It has been regarded as something of a 'cult' car since its 1960's association with the hippie movement and surf culture. This Volkswagen Beetle has certainly had an interesting life. Originally sent to Jewett in New Zealand on 10th August 1954, the vehicle was then shipped to South Carolina in the U.S. before arriving in the UK in 2012. This fully restored example was then overhauled mechanically including a full engine rebuild, electrical upgrade and replacement of the fuel tank and lines. The suspension and brakes were also completely overhauled. This oval rear window Beetle can only be described as being in exceptional condition throughout and has been a part of our vendors small Volkswagen collection since 2018, attending many shows and events during that time and came in the top five at Volks Weald 2019, for the 80th anniversary of the Beetle. It is now being offered for sale to free up some space for a rather special Volkswagen at our vendor’s home. Superb condition throughoutRare example being just one of 12 in existence The story of the Dolomite starts in 1936 when, facing bankruptcy, Triumph launched a new range of models headed by the Dolomite, powered by a brand new, all alloy overhead valve 1767cc engine with crossflow cylinder heads designed by Donald Healey. The cars featured the famous waterfall grille by Walter Belgrove and on the roadster models, a fold out rear ‘dicky’ seat. This rare Triumph Dolomite Roadster 14/65 is finished in gleaming red with beige hide interior. This example is one of just 12 examples in existence, only half of which are road going! The first owner of this example is not known however, we do know the car has had just four owners from new, the second owner purchased the car in 1951/2 from Chequered Garage in Chiswick, London and he sold the car in 1964. The car remained in the same family, passing from father to son until 2019 and it has had owner since then. This is a particularly fine example with matching chassis and engine numbers and it is presented in outstanding condition throughout with excellent body and paintwork, perfect carpets and leather, with the car running and driving beautifully. It comes with a nice history which includes a handbook, an invoice from Pilkington for the windscreen, photocopy of a book showing this car, a handwritten history of this car, workshop manual and a V5 registration document. Launched in 1970, the Triumph Stag was a luxury grand tourer. Envisioned as a luxury sports car, it was designed to compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz SL class models. All Stags were four-seater convertible coupés but for structural rigidity and to meet new American rollover standards at the time, the Stag required a B-pillar 'roll bar' hoop connected to the windscreen frame by a T-bar. A new 2.5 litre, V8 designed and developed by Triumph's Harry Webster was later enlarged to 2,997cc. Most Stags were fitted with a Borg Warner automatic gearbox although manual gearboxes with overdrive were available. Electric windows, power steering and power-assisted brakes were fitted as standard. This very nice example is presented in white with a new black hood and black interior. Its evocative sounding V8 engine is mated to an automatic gearbox and the history file contains old MoT test certificates, various receipts and old valuation certificates. The paintwork is in good condition as too is the interior. Although the odometer reading is 27,122 this cannot be verified. A true British classic sports car and with spring fast approaching, there is nothing better than taking the hood down and listening to that V8 on song!
