1980 Triumph TR7 Convertible Transmission: manualMileage:14710The Triumph TR7 was manufactured from September 1974 to October 1981 and was initially produced at the Speke, Liverpool factory, moving to Canley, Coventry in 1978 and then finally to the Rover Solihull plant in 1980. The car was launched in the United States in January 1975 with its UK home market debut in May 1976. The UK launch was delayed at least twice because of high demand for the vehicle in the US with final sales of new TR7s continuing into 1982. The car was characterised by its 'wedge' shape, which was commonly advertised as: 'The Shape of Things to Come' and by a swage line sweeping down from the rear wing to just behind the front wheel. The design was penned by Harris Mann who also designed the wedge-shaped Princess.Built on 6th August 1980, this excellent and original example has covered a mere 14,700 miles from new. Presented in Platinum Silver coachwork over a navy checkered interior, this TR7 looks very well indeed. The paintwork retains a deep shine, and the interior is in very good condition for its age. Owned by the current vendor for circa five years this Triumph was treated to much mechanical recommissioning in 2019 costing circa £7,000. Included in the work was a full engine rebuild, new clutch, suspension, brakes, exhaust, fuel system, an overhaul of the cooling system, and four new tyres, all of which was carried out by leading marque specialist Robsport International.Reported to run and drive without fault, this TR7 was last services in October 2023 showing 14,703 miles. As its original specification the car is fitted with a five-speed gearbox, Sundym tinted glass, laminated windscreen, inertia reel seat belts, heater and 185 HR 13 tyres. It is also fitted with its original radio and cassette player. Accompanying this Triumph is an extensive history file including its factory build specification sheet, the current V5C registration document, sundry bills, and previous MoT test certificates.

1957 Jaguar Mk. VIII Transmission: automaticMileage:The Jaguar Mk. VIII was introduced at the 1956 London Motor Show and shared its ten-foot wheelbase with its predecessor, the Jaguar Mk. VII, which outwardly it closely resembled. However, the interior fittings were more luxurious than those of the Mk. VII. Distinguishing visually between the models is facilitated by changes to the front grille, the driving or fog lamps being moved from the front panel to the horizontal panel between bumper and front panel, larger rear lamps and, most obviously, a curved chrome trim strip below the waistline which allowed the factory to offer a variety of two-tone paint schemes. In addition, the new car had rear spats that were cut back to display more of the rear wheels and featured a one-piece slightly curved windscreen, where the Mk. VII had incorporated a two-piece front screen of flat glass. The Mk. VIII inherited from its predecessor, the 3442cc straight six-speed automatic engine which it shared with the Jaguar XK140 that appeared two years earlier with the claimed top speed in excess of 106mph, considered impressive given the car's bulk. Transmission options included overdrive or a Borg Warner three-speed automatic gearbox. This tidy automatic transmission example of a now rare Jaguar saloon, is finished in two-tone grey complemented by a grey leather interior, blue carpeting and whitewall tyres. Recent maintenance has included an overhaul of the 3.4 litre engine plus the fitment of a new stainless steel exhaust system, radiator, battery, headlining and carpets. '795 UYO' is now being offered complete with its original wood and leather trim and a collection of invoices for work carried out.

1959 Vauxhall Cresta PA Transmission: manualMileage:80326With demand for American styled cars in the UK soaring, Vauxhall announced the PA series Cresta in 1957, with styling cues from its older General Motors siblings such as tail fins, wrap around windscreen, whitewall tyres and lashings of chrome. Power came from the tried and tested 2,262cc straight six-engine from the previous Cresta E, and a larger 2,651cc engine became available from 1960. The PA Cresta sold well, with a total of 81,841 produced, of which it is understood according to HowManyLeft, that only 32 cars are currently registered in the UK with a further 13 cars registered as SORN.Our vendor purchased this example 26 years ago but only got around to restoring it around five or six years ago. The car underwent a total rotisserie restoration and now presents in exceptional condition, probably even better than when it left the factory 64 years ago. The engine and gearbox have both been fully rebuilt and we are told the car drives superbly. Our vendor has owned a large number of classic cars in his life and as such has picked up an excellent knowledge on restoration over the years, so he was able to carry out a large bulk of the work himself in his workshop. The paintwork and interior were entrusted to specialists and have both been finished to an excellent standard. The paintwork has a deep shine all over and the split white and blue colour scheme is the original colour from the factory. Some parts were very difficult to obtain, the bonnet badge alone cost the vendor £1,500 as it was in such high demand. Being a pre-facelift example, this Cresta has the attractive three-piece rear window, opposed to the later single wrap around rear screen. This is sure to be one of the finest Cresta PA's in existence and with such scarcity of parts and soaring labour costs, it would be very hard to replicate such a restoration for a fraction of the estimate price.

1963 Volkswagen Type 2 (T1) Splitscreen Camper Transmission: manualMileage:68000The Volkswagen Type 2 was introduced in 1950 as a multi-variant utility vehicle, known as the Transporter, Kombi or Microbus (depending on body type), and was devised as an evolution of the Volkswagen Type 1, the original Beetle. The first generation of these versatile vehicles (named the T1) was produced with a distinctive split windscreen from 1950 until 1967. Only two models were originally offered, the Kombi and the Commercial, the Microbus was added in May 1950, and was joined by the Deluxe Microbus in June 1951. The Deluxe Microbus (known as the 'Sunroof Deluxe' in America) was the most luxurious version of the Volkswagen Transporter T1. The Deluxe model featured eight rear side windows and two rear corner windows, making it the '15-window' but was not available in Europe. Meanwhile, the European-market Deluxe Microbus, with its additional eight small skylight windows is, accordingly, the '23-window'. From the 1964 model year with its wider rear door, the rear corner windows were discontinued, making the latter two, the 13-window and 21-window respectively. The 23 and later 21 window variants each carry the famous nickname 'Samba' and are particularly revered. This example has been in the care of our vendor for more than ten years and is a very rare find, a UK supplied right hand drive example. Presented in a fetching two-tone maroon and white colourway, this example looks to have been previously restored but not during our vendor's ownership. The interior is set up for nights away with space to sleep two and an Electrolux fridge. The camper is supplied with a V5C registration document and MoT test certificate valid until July 2024. Our vendor reports the vehicle is a delight to drive but recent lack of use has aided the decision that it is time for someone else to enjoy this fabulous 'splitty'.

1959 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:Although having a family resemblance to the XK120 and XK140, the XK150 was radically modernised. A one piece windscreen replaced the split screen and the wing line no longer dropped as much over the doors. The bonnet was widened, opened down to the wings and on the roadster, the bulkhead was moved back four inches to make the bonnet longer. In the interior, the XK140's walnut dashboard was replaced by one trimmed in leather and chrome. On the early drophead coupés, an aluminium centre dash panel with an 'X' pattern engraving was fitted which looked similar to the early 3.8 E-Type. It was discontinued after June 1958. The standard engine, the same as fitted to the XK140, was the 3.4 litre DOHC Jaguar straight-six rated at 180bhp at 5750rpm but most cars were fitted with the SE engine that had a modified cylinder head with larger exhaust valves rated at 210bhp at 5500rpm. These were high performance, well appointed sports touring cars capable of 137mph and 0-60 in 7.8 seconds and could accomplish long distances with alacrity. This lovely, original right hand drive drophead coupé XK150 is fitted with a overdrive and was registered new on 17th July 1959 and has had just three private owners since. Supplied new to Coombs of Guildford, this Jaguar remained with its first owner until it was acquired by a Mr. Donald Marshall of Sunbury-on-Thames in 1964. Mr. Marshall was a qualified engineer and Jaguar enthusiast and during his near 60-year ownership he looked after the car where necessary. During his tenure he upgraded the engine to a 3.8 litre unit making it a much more usable example. Acquired some three years ago by our vendor, this XK150 was treated to much maintenance work including a no expense spared body off, rotisserie restoration and as such presents in wonderful condition throughout. Other notable works include a new clutch, new brakes, new hood, a new alloy petrol tank, and new wheels and tyres. This Jaguar XK150 has had a huge amount of money spent on it. It now represents a true driver's car and is ready for its next owner and further use, such as the great range of national or international rallies currently on offer; something it has been perfectly designed for. Guide price £70,000-£80,000  Interested parties should note that this example is fitted with an upgraded 3.8 litre E-Type cylinder head along with its original overdrive gearbox.

1931 Rolls-Royce 20 / 25 Sedanca De Ville by Windovers Transmission: manualMileage:57000First registered on 7th May 1931 and finished in pastel blue and black with black leather interior, GNS75 was initially ordered by J.J. Jones of 88 St. James's Street, London however the first owner was actually Hylton Ralph Murray-Philipson (Jnr) of Stobo Castle, Peebles. Stobo Castle had been purchased by Hylton Murray-Philipson Snr in 1905 and in 1924 he conveyed the estate to his son who was a pioneer aviator. Hylton's career consisted of being the C.O. of the City of Edinburgh Auxiliary Air Force Squadron, Conservative MP for Twickenham; Chairman of N.E. Marine Engineering Company and a member of the King's Bodyguard for Scotland and the Royal Company of Archers. Hylton Murray-Philipson suffered from ill health and died in 1934 aged 32 leaving GNS75 to his wife Monica and two young children. In 1939 Monica Murray-Philipson sold Stobo Castle to Wenefryde Agatha Scott, 10th Countess of Dysart and after 10 years of being a widow Monica married Colonel P.H. Lloyd of Stone House in Blaston. The Colonel and Murray-Philipson had business connections as they were both company directors of Manvers Main Collieries Ltd Murray-Philipson in 1923/33 and Lloyd in 1940/47. In 1943 GNS75 is shown as being with her second family, that of John Stanley Coombe Beard of Grayshott Hall, Surrey. John Beard was an architect well known for designing over 100 cinemas in many styles, Baroque, Art Deco, Italian Renaissance, Greek Revival and even Egyptian. Interestingly in 1937 Mrs Beard made call to the police about an attempted burglary which resulted in the first arrest directly attributable to the new 999 service.A rare, possibly unique and very attractively designed car incorporating many appealing features such as stylish wings, separate steps in place of running boards, slim bumpers, external visor and louvred bonnet and scuttle with beautifully proportioned coachwork. With a polished aluminium bonnet top and waistline and P80 'bullseye' headlamps with pillar spot lamp all adds to the overall gorgeous design with the incorporation of various Art Deco touches. This 20/25 allows you to instruct your chauffeur from the privacy of the rear passenger compartment with the interior dividing screen while keeping an eye on progress with your own speedometer which is naturally mounted atop the built-in drink's cabinet. Such unusual original features are what make this Rolls-Royce special, even the delightful Sedanca de Ville coachwork is rare with its split separate steps and Art Deco flourishes. The front compartment provides accommodation for the driver and a passenger with a removable roof section for open-air motoring and wind-up windows. The driver's window also featuring a quick release lower section to allow hand signals to be easily executed. A right hand gear change allows for plenty of legroom and the large steering wheel is surmounted by a collection of hand controls. A large bulb horn lies easily to hand and the windscreen can be opened for ventilation. It is shaded by a glass visor and a spot lamp is within the driver's reach. Gauges are also a feature of the rear passenger compartment, although separated by a dividing screen, the rear passengers can keep an eye on their own speedometer as well as being supplied with a clock, barometer and a circular thermometer. The clock, and possibly the barometer, appear to be later additions. The drinks cabinet has provision for holding several decanters and a few glasses in a Lazy Susan, although the glassware itself is no longer present. The leather upholstery looks to be in lovely condition throughout, exhibiting just the right amount of patina without looking tatty. The carpets, door cards and headlining are similarly well presented as are stylish Art Deco door handles and window winders, which place this Rolls-Royce squarely in the 1930s.To the exterior, the Palladian radiator surround is topped with the Spirit of Ecstasy and the long bonnet is flanked by twin side-mount spare wheels. A pair of large Lucas tripod headlamps illuminate the road ahead and are assisted by a centrally mounted spot lamp, as well as the swivelling spot lamp near the driver. Twin horns complete the scene at the front of the car, along with a polished chrome-plated bumper. The Windovers Sedanca de Ville coachwork suits the car well and is beautifully proportioned. It features the unusual running boards, separate for front and rear passengers, as well as a useful luggage boot to the rear. Polished aluminium discs cover the wire wheels and the car runs on a full set of Paymaster tyres. Lifting the long bonnet reveals the powerful, straight-six, 3.7 litre engine. The engine features coil ignition and is fed by an Autovac fuel pump and, unusually for a car of this period, there is a glass bottle of screen wash mounted on the bulkhead, which is likely to be a later addition coupled to a small modern electric pump which has been added for ease of use. Supplied with a history file which includes historic photographs of restoration, instruction book and the original buff logbook coupled to the V5C registration document and copies of handwritten service records. The vendor informs us that the engine starts up easily every time and runs well. It is said to be a joy to drive and mechanically sound with its overhead valves, four-speed gearbox and powerful engine, this Rolls-Royce is certainly very capable and splendidly opulent. An imposing motorcar, which wears fabulously unusual coachwork and retains many original details.

1996 Porsche 911 / 993 Carrera 2 Transmission: manualMileage:67155The Porsche 993 was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 964 generation of the iconic 911 model and was built until 1998. Regarded by many as the best generation of 911s ever produced from Stuttgart, this car was the last to use the air-cooled flat-six engine that had powered 911s for the previous thirty years. The 993 was offered in a number of guises and specifications during its production life including two and four-wheel drive trains, known as Carrera and Carrera 4 respectively. The 993 was the first generation 911 to have standard six-speed manual transmission. The Carrera, Carrera S, Cabriolet and Targa models (two-wheel drive) were also available with a Tiptronic four-speed automatic transmission which was first introduced in the 964. First delivered to Glenvarigill Porsche on 23rd March 1996, this fantastic 911 has led a pampered life. Ordered in Porsche in Midnight Blue metallic and with optional extras including 17" 'New Cup' design wheels, top tinted windscreen, rear wiper and sunroof. Unchanged from its factory ordered specification, this must be one of the best examples in existence. The car's history file shows all but one MoT test certificate from 2005 onwards, as well many receipts for maintenance carried out by well-regarded Porsche specialists as well as Porsche themselves. The included service book shows no less than 24 stamps in it, with another to be added before the auction. Since 2009, the car has been serviced with Porsche West Byfleet every year and was maintained by the likes of Paragon, Jaz and Northway Porsche prior. Supplied with a fresh MoT test certificate valid until October 2024, the car has covered just 10,656 miles in the vendor's 14-year ownership. Reported to run and drive just as you would expect a car of its pedigree to, it is now only being sold to thin out his collection. Supplied with V5C registration document, MoT test certificate valid until October 2024, service history file, service book along with all its handbooks in their original leather booklet case and previous MoT test certificates. This is a rare opportunity to own an unmodified, well optioned, manual example of this design classic, that was the evolutionary pinnacle of Porsche's legendary air-cooled flat-six. Interested parties should note that during the car’s service at Porsche Byfleet last month, a slight weep to one of the front shock absorbers was noted along with the rear lid gas struts were weakening. The vendor had Porsche Byfleet fit two new front shock absorbers as well as rear lid gas struts. The car was MoT’d at the same time. Please also note that the registration shown in the video does not come with the car. The car is sold with the registration P947 RBP.

1976 Alfa Romeo GT Junior Transmission: manualMileage:47500Mention Alfa Romeos from the 1960s and 1970s and what usually springs to mind is the marque's 105 Series Coupé, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Bertone and considered to be one of his greatest designs. Not only as one of the best looking and handling classic saloon cars of the period, but the advanced specification, with its five-speed gearbox, all-round disc brakes, independent suspension, and powerful twin-cam engine, still has the capability to embarrass many of its modern counterparts. This 1976 Alfa Romeo GT Junior (105 two-door coupé) is presented in lovely red coach work and has previously successfully circuit raced in South Africa under a FIA Historic Passport (since expired). Its specification included a balanced two litre Nord engine with Group One cams, custom exhaust system, remote oil cooler, bespoke aluminium radiator, Watts linkage rose-jointed rear suspension, camber adjustable front suspension, bespoke front anti-roll bar with rose-jointed drop links, four-pot front brakes, 4.3FD LSD differential, lightweight doors and boot lid, Perspex side windows and a stripped interior with six-point roll cage.Imported to the UK in 2017, the Alfa has recently been subject to a major restoration and conversion to 'Fast Road' specification. Work carried out included an overhaul of the suspension components and bodyshell repairs where required, with the underside treated with Bilt Hamber Dynax. Numerous new parts, mainly sourced from Classic Alfa and Alfaholics with invoices in the history file, were fitted including Weber twin 40DCOEs and alloy mounts, fuel pump and Malpassi regulator, Cobra Monaco Pro bucket seats (in date), Nardi Signature steering wheel, custom sump guard, electronic ignition unit, Bosch blue coil, plugs and leads, and rebuilt brake calipers. Externally the car was treated to new head lamps and rings, tail lamps, sidelights, lightweight bonnet, GTA alloy wheels with Michelin tyres, windscreen, chrome surround and seal, wiper arms and blades. Further new parts include a clutch master cylinder, adjustable front top-arms, lowered Eibach springs and Koni yellow dampers, spring pans, complemented by zinc-plated front suspension arms with Lemforder ball joints. Most recently, a new starter motor, master switch and battery were fitted; the list goes on but this should give a good indication.Since the restoration and some would say softening to 'Fast Road' specification, Peter Smart Classic Alfas carried out a full health check including setting up the Weber carbs and engine timing and adjusting the suspension settings. Finally, they carried out a full respray in period-correct Alfa Rosso. The car shows as Historic status on its V5C registration document and is therefore MoT and Tax exempt. It is a high-performance, classic car that can be driven to 'cars and coffee' runs or enjoyed once again on the track, either way it is a beautiful and iconic Alfa Romeo.

Fully rebuilt with a new chassis and extensively upgraded, this Series IIA is really rather special. Dating from April 1966, George is a Series IIA that has been fully restored and upgraded in current ownership since 2014. The 'story of George' runs to several thousand words, far too much to even paraphrase here, but our consignor, Stacey will be happy to send interested parties a copy of this charming story by email.A small extract in our vendor’s words;'I needed something that would keep me more active than normal, so my wife gave me the green light to find a classic Land Rover, but she had one condition that it must have the headlights in the centre panel. For me, I added that I wanted a petrol engine and SWB and that was it, so other than these requirements I really didn’t have a clue what to look for. So the search began, mainly looking around Ebay, I did see a couple of vehicles around my budget and then I spotted George, he was taxed and MOT’d for six months which meant I could run him and get an idea of what needed doing.A few days later, I made the train journey down to Evesham to collect George with the intention of driving back to Stoke, and made sure I had sufficient tools to cover any basic repairs should any issues come up during the drive back. When I arrived, George was standing on the drive in all his glory, he’d already been fitted with parabolic springs and Koni shocks some time back by a previous owner, the door tops were pretty much shot but usable for now, they would need replacing along with the rear tail gate and cat flap which had been joined together to make a type of safari door – not nice for sure. The sale was agreed and the journey home commenced. George was running a Weber Carburettor which was being a little temperamental on the journey home, but after a few tweaks it calmed down and the rest of the trip was relatively pain free – well as best you can expect from a Land Rover. Once home I had time to make a full assessment of what I needed to replaced right away to use up the remaining six months of Tax and MOT, during this time I could plan my re-build, it was always my intention to replace the chassis and I think after the strip down I was justified in that decision.'The rest of the story is hugely detailed and fascinating. We recommend for anyone interested to come and view George in all his glory - the handsome, restored example of the rugged and iconic 4 x 4, presenting in excellent condition throughout, making the perfect usable off-road companion, a brilliant show car or a charming addition to any collection, and these are just some of the reasons why George is so special.Standard components – either restored or replaced:Chassis – replaced in February 2015 using a Richards Replica Chassis Suffix CEngine – original engine correct date, short block refurbished +0.40 pistons, standard crank (bearings replaced) and cam, timing chain, oil pump, water pump and petrol pump all replaced.Axle – both front and rear are originals and date correct 1966 – Refurbished using nylon coating. Lot 123A

Running and driving well, this venerable Healey has always been garaged and loved as one of the family. Introduced for 1956, the 100/6 represented the most radical step forward in the Big Healey's development. Despite its initial success, sales of the original Austin-Healey 100 had begun to decline by the mid-1950s and so the model was revamped as the '100/6', BMC's 2.6-litre C-series six replacing the original four-cylinder Austin Atlantic engine. At the same time the wheelbase was lengthened from 7' 6" to 7' 8", which enabled the inclusion of two occasional seats in the rear of the BN4 variant. In 100-6 tune the pushrod six produced 102bhp – 12hp more than its predecessor. Although stylistically very similar to the preceding 100, the 100/6 was nevertheless easily distinguishable by its 'crinkle' radiator grille and bonnet-top air intake. In 1957 an improved six-port engine became available, and this 117bhp unit was fitted to all the newly introduced BN6 two-seater roadsters. Top speed improved to 111mph and 1.7 seconds was cut from the 0-60mph time. The accompanying Heritage certificate confirms that this 100/6 four-seater is an early home-market BN4. It was built on 19th February 1957 delivered in Ivory White with red trim and a black hood and had been optioned from new with a heater, laminated windscreen, disc wheels and overdrive deleted. The first owner, a retired doctor, kept the Healey until his untimely death in early 1960. Offered for sale at Agnew & Graham Ltd, Oxford Street, Belfast, our vendor's father was obviously rather taken with this shiny Healey and purchased it on 2nd July 1960 for £600 and, pleasingly, the Bill of Sale is in the car's history file.Whilst in the family ownership for the last 63 years, the car has been well-maintained and has covered just 64,000 miles from new. Inherited by our vendor and his sister in 1995, the Healey was entrusted to MG Restorations, Belfast who in 1996 carried out a full repaint, but pleasingly it still has its original interior and benefitted from a new hood at the time. Having been jointly owned by the late owner's children for nearly 30 years, only used on high days and holidays, they have decided that the time has come to part with 'Dad's Healey'. An honest, genuine, much-loved 100/6 that has been with the family for six decades.Specification Make: AUSTIN HEALEY Model: 100/6 Year: 1957 Chassis Number: BN4S34252 Registration Number: RZ7314 Transmission: Manual Engine Number: ICH34252 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 64000 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: RedClick here for more details and images

Only 2,500 miles since a substantial restoration, this elegant 120 Coupé remains in fabulous condition. A car-starved Britain, still trundling around in perpendicular pre-war hangover vehicles, glimpsed the future in October 1948 with the launch of the Jaguar XK120 at the Earls Court Motor Show. Production commenced in 1949 in Coventry, and the XK's swoopy shape and stylish occupants would become a common sight on British roads over the next 15 years. It heralded the arrival of Jaguar's famous 3.4-litre twin overhead camshaft XK engine, (the basis of all their engines for the next 25 years) with an alloy cylinder head and twin side-draught SU carburettors producing nearly 160bhp. The 120 referred to the car's top speed which, at the time, made it the fastest production car in the world. Jaguar seems to have always had a flair for marketing and to illustrate that the car's top speed was not a figment of a publicist's imagination as in May 1949, on the Jabbeke to Aeltre autoroute, an XK120 with its hood and side screens in place recorded a speed of 126mph, and no less than 132mph with the hood and windscreen detached and an undertray fitted. The car was in almost instant demand and went on to spawn the famous XK lineage of fast and elegant sports cars. This splendid XK120 was delivered new to Hoffman, New York on 4th September 1951. It turned heads in the US for many years before returning to the UK in July 2004 looking very tired and in need of restoration. Renowned Jaguar restorers, Beacon Garage in Doncaster, inherited that particular task and a comprehensive last nut and bolt rebuild was completed in 2012. The car was converted to right-hand drive, fitted with a C-Type cylinder head, upgraded leather bucket seats and chrome wire wheels - there are receipts on file totalling £80,000 from this period and viewing of the extensive file is highly recommend. Inspected by the Jaguar Drivers Club at the time who confirmed it was faultless, other than some light pitting of the chrome on one rear light. They valued it at £125,000 at that time.XDN 36 was purchased by our vendor, a serious motoring connoisseur, in December 2018 and, in his care, the XK has been well-maintained and lightly but regularly used. It's been enjoyed on various Bowcliffe Drivers Club events and placed second in one of their Concours d'Elegance events. It has covered less than 2,500 miles since the restoration with the only major expense being a set of new Pirelli Cinturatos. On our recent inspection, the car remains near faultless, it really does present well, with a small nick on the drivers bucket seat bolster the only obvious fault.Ready to be enjoyed, be that out on the open road or gracing the club circuit, with all that has to offer, this impressive XK120 warrants your early inspection to fully appreciate this rare and desirable drivers Jaguar.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: XK120 COUPÉ Year: 1951 Chassis Number: 679082 Registration Number: XDN 36 Transmission: Manual 4 speed Engine Number: G 2681-8 Odometer Reading: 2134 Miles Make: Interior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 150

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 sits at the pinnacle of the World’s performance saloons, offering 592bhp, dynamic agility and all-wheel drive traction. With just 106 miles from new, this superbly presented, fully-specified example represents a very rare opportunity. The second Collector’s Edition by SVO, following the successful F-Type Project 7 of 2014, Project 8 is a hand-built four-door saloon with supercar performance – designed to thrill driving enthusiasts with an extraordinary combination of explosive power, dynamic agility, and all-wheel drive traction. To ensure exclusivity, just 300 examples were built, each assembled at SVO’s Technical Centre in Coventry. The car is powered by the most highly-tuned version of Jaguar Land Rover’s 5-litre supercharged V8 petrol powertrain featuring a Titanium Variable Active Exhaust and offering 600PS (592bhp) and 516lb/ft of torque complemented by Jaguar’s All-Wheel Drive system and motorsport-derived aerodynamics to deliver a 200mph top speed and 0-60mph in a remarkable 3.3 seconds, making Project 8 the fastest accelerating Jaguar road car yet.Based upon the entry-level Jaguar XE Saloon, the Project 8 was conceived by Jaguar to be 'the most extreme performance Jaguar ever created'. Whilst it may still be recognisable as an XE saloon, only the front doors and roof are carried over from the production XE, with the rest of the panels subtly (and some not-so-subtly) sculpted and modified before being made out of lightweight carbon fibre. Carbon fibre panels include bumpers with enhanced cooling ducts, the bonnet, front air splitter, side skirts, adjustable rear spoiler, rear diffuser and adjustable rear aerodynamic wing. The result was the lightest V8 saloon in the range combined with lift reduced by 205% and a claimed 122kg of downforce at 186mph, with the Project 8 happily continuing onwards to 200mph.The interior features gloss carbon fibre trim as well as Alcantara on the rim of the Project 8 sport steering wheel, instrument binnacle and door cards. The 8-speed 'Quickshift' transmission can either be operated by aluminium paddle shifters behind the steering wheel or by a central ‘Pistol' shift lever.Other Project 8 features include; manually adjustable ride-height and aerodynamics, Intelligent Driveline Dynamic settings for circuit use, the first application of Jaguar’s ultimate new Carbon Ceramic Braking system and, an industry first use of F1-style silicon nitride ceramic wheel bearings on a road car. This fabulous example was originally purchased from Sturgess of Leicester and first registered on 21st December 2020. It’s finished in Quad Coat SV Premium Palette Velocity Blue, with a Narvik Black roof and Jaguar ‘Leaper’ graphics. It sits on 20" Lightweight Gloss Black alloys and now bears the Cherished Registration Number PR08 JUR which is generously included in the sale. Options from new include Project 8 logos stitched into the headrests, a Project 8 aluminium commission plaque, vehicle data recording device, privacy glass, head-up display, solar attenuating windscreen, suede cloth/Windsor leather – Ebony interior, electrically adjustable steering column, adaptive Xenon headlamps with LED Signature, a rear view camera and finally a bespoke car cover. This is really special. Just 106 miles from new with its one and only owner. With just 300 built, most of which appear to have disappeared behind locked doors, the XE SV Project 8 is a Collector's dream. They seldom come to market, and this sparkling, delivery miles-only example In a head-turning shade of Velocity Blue deserves to be seen in the metal, and consequently we invite and encourage you to take a closer look at our NEC Sale.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: XE PROJECT 8 Year: 2020 Chassis Number: SAJAA4BE0KS487730 Registration Number: PR08 JUR Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 18070623351508PS Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 106 Miles Make: Only LHD Interior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images

Lot 156

**Please note the correct number plate for the car is KVO 798V.** #68/100, this meticulously restored example is surely the finest JPS to come to market in recent years. Technically called the 'World Championship Commemorative Model', but more colloquially known as the John Player Special, this was the first and arguably the most memorable limited-edition Esprit from Lotus. Dubbed the JPS due to its distinctive black and gold livery, inspired by the ground effect, JPS-sponsored, championship-winning Lotus 79 cars of the period, as raced by Mario Andretti and Ronnie Petersen. Originally planned to build 200 examples, it was believed that just 185 were produced; 100 for the UK, 55 for the United States and 30 for Europe. The eye-catching specification included gold-coloured side-stripes complete with World Champion lettering, gold-coloured front and rear windscreen surrounds and alloy wheels, gold-effect corduroy seat inserts and a 3-spoke leather-rimmed steering wheel instead of the normal plastic offering. The 'Juke Box' installed was a Hitachi Digi-One radio-cassette. The 1,973cc 16-valve DOHC engine delivered a feisty 160bhp which was sufficient to sprint the 1,980lb glass fibre-bodied two-seater to 60mph in 6.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 124mph. The short production run lasted from December 1978 to July 1979.This immaculate example is Number 68, however, as we understand and know Lotus from that period, it is unknown what number it was in the production line. Our vendor confessed to getting somewhat carried away with the restoration, and as part of the process, #68 had a full body-off, glass-out restoration, including a respray and new stickers to ensure no stone was unturned and the car would be as good as new, if not better, which we feel he’s achieved by some distance. A number of top specialists have been involved in the car's transformation, and the results are very impressive, with a fabulous level of finish whilst still maintaining the character of the car, which is no easy feat! The restoration catalogue is fantastic, featuring new aluminium fuel tanks, brake line hoses, new aluminium radiator, new coolant hoses, Wilwood front callipers and discs (originals to go with the car) and new suspension and bushes all round. The engine was overhauled including new liners, crank reground and new pistons c.2,000 miles ago and a stainless-steel exhaust system including 4-into-1 manifold fitted to help it sing. The list goes on, making for an incredibly pleasant driving experience. The history file is good, containing old invoices and MOTs. Superbly presented and indicating only 72,746 miles, this is an exceptionally high-quality example that would cost a small fortune to replicate. With the combination of comfortable mileage and the quality of restoration, this very special Lotus would sit equally as perfectly in the hands of a collector as it would in the hands of an enthusiast wanting to get out and drive it.Under our vendor's watchful eye, this exceptional Lotus received a final touch of perfection, with an expenditure of £4,200 at GST Performance to address gearbox linkages, exhaust heat shielding, and various minor refinements that naturally arise after a comprehensive restoration. As we contemplate the electric future of Lotus cars, there has never been a more opportune moment to embrace the legacy of these classic, petrol-powered marvels. They are the very vehicles that have allowed the Norwich-born David and Goliath brand to weather the test of time with resounding success.SpecificationMake: LOTUSModel: ESPRIT S2 JPSYear: 1976Chassis Number: 79020661GRegistration Number: TOI 9585Transmission: ManualEngine Number: CC907790216073Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 73500 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Tan/BlackClick here for more details and images

Lot 163

A lovely left-hand drive example, restored to a very high standard at a cost of over £50,000. A progressive development of the sensational XK120 and XK140, the XK150 retained the same basic chassis, 3.4-litre engine and 4-speed Moss transmission of its predecessors but, partly due to the growing US demand for more comfortable and refined sports cars, benefited from an entirely new body providing increased interior space and improved visibility courtesy of a single-piece wrap-around windscreen. A higher front wing line and broader radiator grille were other obvious differences but the new model's main talking point was its Dunlop disc brakes; at last the XK had stopping power to match its prodigious straight-line speed. Introduced in the spring of 1957, the XK150 was available at first only in fixed and drophead coupé forms, the open roadster (OTS) version not appearing until the following year.According to its Jaguar Heritage Certificate, this well-presented left-hand drive XK150 3.4 Roadster was despatched to Jaguar Cars, New York on 30th May 1958 and onwards to its first US owner. In more recent times, the XK150 was repatriated to the these shores where a comprehensive restoration was undertaken. The work was obviously extensive, with over £50,000 invested, and the results speak for themselves. The bodywork was taken down to bare metal and classically refinished in Old English White, all the brightwork was re-chromed and polished, the interior was retrimmed in navy blue leather to a very high standard, new chrome wire wheels were fitted, the matching numbers engine was rebuilt and, naturally, every other mechanical aspect of the venerable Jaguar received similar care and attention.Accompanying the car is a history file containing a quantity of invoices, the aforementioned Heritage Certificate and photographs of the work carried out, all available for your inspection at our Documents Desk when you view the car, which we invite and encourage in order to appreciate the quality on offer.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: XK150 ROADSTER Year: 1958 Chassis Number: S830464 Registration Number: 928 UYY Transmission: Manual Engine Number: V3917-8 Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Make: LHD Interior Colour: Navy BlueClick here for more details and images

Part of the Cheshire Collection, an award winning seven-year restoration, celebrated in print for its cosmetic authenticity and modern performance due to its 2-litre Zetec engine. A unique car, extensively exhibited and known as the 2000E. The Cheshire Collection is a carefully curated ensemble of modern classics that represent our vendor's enthusiasm, and are all offered on a No Reserve basis to make way for new additions to their respective collections. For nearly a decade, they have been a welcome sight at our auctions, and whilst we have appreciated their energetic bidding, we have valued their chats, enthusiast to enthusiast, just as much. Each car is special, whether it's the vastly improved 1973 Ford Escort, the last production Sierra RS Cosworth showing more than 21,000 miles, the fabulous 12,000km 'Group N' Escort Cosworth, the well-maintained Clio V6, the one-owner, low-mileage Evo VI GSR to, perhaps, the best 2005 Honda Civic Type R on the market. This highly celebrated car started out as an Escort 1300E on 18th December 1973 and according to the September issue of Classic Ford Magazine in 2016, where the car was glowingly reviewed, it took nearly a decade of patience, hard work and skill to get to what we see today. Not just rebuilt to be shown at the UK’s finest classic shows, Mr Penney, the owner, wanted the best combination of classic and modern. Other new parts included the windscreen, drop glasses, dash switches, boot trim and hockey sticks, front indicator lenses, rear light lenses, front quarter and rear bumpers with re-chromed door handles and rear light surrounds. Lot 244

With upgraded Bilstein suspension and a mild-mannered chip, this eye-catching 4x4 does make a bit of a statement in Firenze Red and Black. A Worldwide icon - as British as King Charles, Fish and Chips or the Local Pub. From 1990, the 90 and 110 models were rebadged as the Defender. It was instantly familiar given the evolutionary relationship with the Series Land Rovers that preceded them. To the layman, the different versions have almost become interchangeable, not least because each represents the utilitarian, unpretentious, rugged off-roader that made Land Rover famous. The Defender itself evolved gradually over its quarter-century on sale, gaining new Ford engines and the odd interior tweak, but perhaps the most significant change was nothing to do with the designers at Solihull, it was its gradual adoption by trendy metropolitan elites, declaring it as their carriage of choice, taking the Land Rover legend from the country into the city. It's now equally popular with both cattle herders and yoga instructors, a trend that is reflected in the latest models, as good up to their axles in clag as they are at carving through SW1.LR63 RED (the registration number will stay with the vehicle) is finished in very rare Firenze Red Metallic with a gloss-black front grille and headlight surrounds, over a black cloth and leather-trimmed interior. Shod with new 16" 'Boost' alloy wheels finished in gloss black with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tyres fitted in 2021, the factory Defender 90XS specification includes a high and low range gearbox, electric windows, an analogue clock, heated front and rear windscreens, air conditioning, heated front seats, an Alpine CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity and USB and auxiliary inputs, and fold-down rear seats. Receipts included reveal over £10,000 worth of upgrades in 2021 and 2022, including a leather-trimmed Momo Tuner steering wheel with an Optimill quick-release boss, 30mm wheel spacers, Vision X 7" LED Halo headlights, and colour-matching door mirror covers, wing vents and steering guard. Mechanical upgrades over the same period include an uprated LOF gearbox output shaft, a LOF clutch kit, LOF clutch slave cylinder, a Bell Auto Services uprated Garrett VGT hybrid turbocharger (high flow/high torque) and a Bell Auto Services Stage 3 performance remap which provides smooth power delivery with increased torque while providing improved fuel economy. Documented maintenance includes a replacement offside front swivel seal, a new front differential seal, gearbox half shafts and lay shafts, shock absorber bushes, a rear suspension ball joint, and a windscreen seal. The car benefits from a main dealer and specialist service recorded in 2013, 2015 (1,438 miles), 2020 (5,513 miles), 2021 (9,321 miles), 2022 (10,604 miles) and 2023 (11,373 miles) with receipts provided. The car was in storage from 2016 and through the COVID epidemic. July 2023 saw a full paint correction detail, PPF install to front headlight surrounds, front wing sides, grille, headlights, wing mirrors, front bumper in matt PPF and lower skid panel, XPEL Fusion ceramic coating applied to entire Defender, cost of which was over £3,000.Obviously hugely pampered in the past, its new custodian will need to do nothing but enjoy admiring and driving one of the most recognisable and characterful cars on our roads today.  Specification Make: LAND ROVER Model: DEFENDER STATION WAGON Year: 2013 Chassis Number: SALLDWBP7DA445197 Registration Number: LR63 RED Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 131011163049DT224 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 11800 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black Half LeatherClick here for more details and images
