Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). Group of six Japanese woodblock prints from the 19th century. This lot includes black and white diptychs, "Snow Mid Winter," and "View of Tansya-no Bridge," the latter c. 1820. Another print comes from Hokusai's "Female Moral Standard Book" series. The final print is after Hokusai, a Meji reproduction of a puppeteer holding a puppet on Go board, c. 1900. Dimensions: Heights range from 6 5/8 in to 8 5/8 in. Large Japanese Koransha vase, the high shouldered vase decorated with panels of children holding a dragon puppet, reserved on a highly elaborate scholars items and diaper ground, signature to the base, 62.5cm, Meiji.CONDITION REPORT:Body appeares in good condition, no obvious cracks, chips or restoration. Generally glazes good and bright, some wear to gilding but mainly at shoulders just at turn of the everted rim to the body there is a long horizontal darker line (to the interior) which looks like a fine firing crack or stress line. No sign of it on exterior of vase.
