Matchbox, Mamod Pelham, Maisto, Other - A mixed lot containing boxed and unboxed diecast, a Pelham puppet and Mamod engine. Diecast includes a boxed Matchbox Superfast #29 Racing Mini; Maisto Supercar Collection Corvette ZR1; an unboxed Husky Mk10 Jaguar and similar - diecast appear Fair - Good, where boxed mainly Poor - Fair. Lot also contains a boxed Pelham Puppet 'Old Lady' in Good overall condition with tangled strings and signs of play in a Fair Plus - Good box with age and storage wear; together with a static Mamod MM1 steam engine with burner which appears in Playworn condition. CAPTAIN GREY,a modern Supermarionation puppet of Captain Grey, sculpted by Terry Curtis, from 'Captain Scarlet and the Mysterions' created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson in 1967 for ITV, modelled in a Spectrum uniform, holding the signature Captain Scarlet pistol, mounted on a wooden base with a brass plaque, labelled with a microchip of authenticity, 63cm highTerry Curtis produced many of the puppets for several of the Andersons' productions, including 'Thunderbirds', 'Secret Service' and 'Captain Scarlet'. This puppet, although a modern reproduction, has been made in the same way that the original puppets from the 1960s were made. Provenance: Terry Curtis' private collection.

Artwork size 13.5"x9" mounted on black paper mount, overall size 17.5"x13".
BOB BELL (1918 - 2009) - A pencil and water colour sketch No 6 of 'The Evolution of Supermarionation' - This shows the final more advanced studio premises with a mobile puppet bridge where all the future Supermarionation shows from 'Stingray' to 'The Secret Service' were made. Artwork size 13.5"x9" mounted on black paper mount, overall size 17.5"x13".
DIRE STRAITS - 'Calling Elvis' (1991) - The Calling Elvis video was created using GERRY ANDERSON super marionation techniques, including original and new Thunderbirds footage as part of the story line. This lot comprises storyboards, plans, negatives, polaroids of the puppet creations and reference photographs. The storyboards are mostly photocopies, but almost all have handwritten notes on them.
