Gus is very presentable from the front. From behind there is some loose fur. The clothing is generally in good clean condition.witj appropriate care and engineering skills he could be returned to working order.

Scattered retouchings under UV. Some aged related craquelure particularly in the darker pigments in the woman's skirt. Overall in good restored stable condition ready to hang.

Jane Lewis (born 1953)., a pastel "Miss Garnet's Angel" with winged figure and Dalmation. 72 x 54 cm, signed and dated '05, in an oak frame with gilt slip and label to rear Portall Gallery dover Street London (see illustration).The picture is in very good order and is nicely presented in an oak frame.  There are a couple of specks to the background between the puppet and the angel which are visible with the naked eye and there is also some speckling above the dalmatians head and to the background above its rear end.  We am unsure whether this pastel or if it was intended to be there.
