St Lucia, B.S., uncertain attribution, brass tallies (4), all stamped B.S., rev. stamped 86 (or 98), round; 96, octagonal; 97, shield-shaped; 1899, heart-shaped (Lyall 529-32, these pieces) [4]. Roehrs Collection, DNW Auction 95, 14 February 2012, lot 1329 These four pieces were reputed to be from St Lucia. There was a Bernard Stretch, a planter, at Soufriere in St Lucia in 1899, but there was no-one with these initials on the voter list for Castries in 1900.

Both the jardiniere stand and planter with wear, scratches and sections of the wood split. Small chip to jardiniere stand. Some white stains to jardiniere stand. Planter rings well when tapped.
