ROYAL DOULTON; a quantity of series ware china to include a planter, footed bowl 'English Cottages', a rectangular sandwich plate, three plates, a shallow bowl 'Gaffers' (af), two small bowls 'Bobbie Burns', and set of six shaped sandwich plates.Condition Report: Wear visible throughout, a large hairline crack and chip to rim of Gaffers bowl, crazing etc.

Only named items looked at in detail (too much to go through individually). Centre bowl has small chips to base. Serving dishes have minor surface scratches. Planter has sticker mark to base but no obvious damage. Teapots, coffee pots and stand all have no obvious damage.

Cups one has some very small chips to base otherwise good. peppers - grubby but no obvious damage.
A group of late 19thC end of day glass, including a blue malachite square planter moulded with ivy, pedestal strawberry dish and cream jug, moulded with Prince of Wales feathers and flowers, and white glass cream jug decorated with holly and a small vase, together with a French milk glass vase painted with a bird and grasses, 31cm high, and a further vase decorated with flowers and a banner "The Lord is my Light", 23.5cm high. Cadell and W. Davies, in the Strand, 1798. *** Rare at auction, with only two other copies traced since 1963 (the last of which The Rothamsted Collection copy, in our rooms 11th July, 2018, lot 701, £4600 hammer). Account of coffee planting and life in 18th century Saint-Domingue (present-day Haiti), which at that point accounted for around sixty percent of the world's coffee production. This extensive work was written as a manual for British coffee planters, and includes a chapter on slave management, along with an account of the 1790s slave revolt.
Large Teco planter with matte green glaze. Rests on four feet. Planter is Teco style 157, designed by William D. Gates. ca. 1906.Height: 16 in x diameter: 21 in.Condition:There are no major cracks, losses, or restorations. Along the interior there are numerous minute chips throughout. There are a few areas of mineral deposits throughout the interior. Along the exterior there are numerous chips to the glaze, several scuffs, and scratches. There is wear to the shoulder. Wear to the feet consistent with age and use. There is a hole drilled through the bottom of the planter, possibly original to the production.
19th century Chinese famille rose porcelain planter. A jardiniere cache pot depicting a Lohan and other figures among rocks, and two figures referencing a classical Chinese story. Similar to some straits Chinese palette works in the Peranakan ware. From the Tongxi period.Height: 14 in x diameter: 16 in.Condition:There are several large cracks along the exterior of the planter, several of which intersect at one point, as a product of being broken into multiple pieces. Evidence of enamel loss along cracks as a result of restoration. There is minor chipping along the exterior rim as well as scratches and minor imperfections throughout the mid- to upper area of the planter. There is also evidence of glaze flaking. Towards the bottom third of the interior of planter, there is no glaze at all and significant wear.
Collection of various Poole Potteryincluding a set of eight floral plates, decorated by Ruth Paverley, 19cm across, a planter or vase with grey zig-zag decoration, impressed marks to the base, 14cm high, an orange glazed twin handled bowl, impressed marks to the base, 7cm high, Poole studio bud vase, with painted signature to the base, 9cm high, a green, brown and cream banded vase with star trial mark impressed to the base, 11cm high, a banded blue and white vase, 13cm high, a plate decorated with a deer in the Poole style, 21cm across etc (16) All with overall wear, marks and scratches. Crazing and some small glaze faults to all. The blue-banded vase has a hairline crack. The pink jug has damage and restoration.
