†KATHARINE PLEYDELL-BOUVERIE (1895-1985); an unglazed stoneware planter and saucer with incised decoration, impressed KPB mark and incised code, made late 1930s, diameter 14cm, a strawberry hanging planter, and a small planter covered in grey/green ash glaze (3). Pleydell-Bouverie made quite a few unglazed pots just before and during the war, mainly because certain glaze ingredients were very difficult to obtain. Condition Report: Short firing crack to saucer base, otherwise appears good with no further signs of faults, damage or restorations.
