A French gilt metal planter, late 19th century, of rectangular form with rounded ends, the gilt frame decorated with figures representing the arts between open and vacant cartouches framed by cornucopia with leaves and berries, the blue glass liner with chamfered rim, 25.5cm wide, 8.5cm high, 13.5cm deep.Condition report: One rounded end rim has a tiny flea bite nibble, there are some smaller less obvious nicks on the rim visible through a magnifier, the interior surface has scratches most likely caused through use. The metal work is in good order throughout.
