Large late 19th/early 20th Century Chinese crackle ware jardinière or planter, decorated in underglaze blue with lion dogs at play between simulated bronze collar, the flat rim decorated with flowers and foliage, 41cm diameter x 34cm high Condition: Typical staining plus some minor glazing/potting flaws typical with wares of this type otherwise sound. **General condition consistent with age
A 19th century oak brass bound planter, with galvanised liner and lion mask handle to either end. Width 62 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The planter is structurally sound. The colour is generally good. There are no splits at the seams and no movement. The brass is a little tarnished but all present. Both handles appear to be original. The oval galvanised liner is not original. It is a little smaller than the planter itself.
Two Japanese porcelain Bonsai planters, late Meiji/Taisho period, possibly Hirado, each of rectangular form with re-entrant corners, with reticulated side panels, on short bracket feet, 17cm & 23cm wideCondition report: The larger planter has a small corner rim chip. The smaller planter has two small rim chips and a shaped hairline crack to the interior base, partially visible on the underside.
