Three Moorcroft pieces, with signatures to the base indicating an manufacturing period of 1950-86, to include a planter, in the pattern 'Columbine', a small fluted vase, in the pattern 'Green Hibiscus' and a pin dish, in the pattern 'Bermuda Lily'. (3 items) Condition: First Quality; No marks or cracks. The dish has signs of crazing and paint loss to the rim, the spill vase has sticker residue to the base and all three times have shelf wear.
A pair of large Staffordshire inspired Victorian late 19th century hand painted and transfer printed ceramic floor planters / jardinieres. Each having an amphora shaped planter bowl atop with flared rims and in relief swags embellishments. The jardiniere stand having a lipped circular top in the shape of scrolled acanthus leaves over a central canted column support with further floral decorations. All raised on shaped circular base. Each jardiniere decorated with pink flower motifs on a green & cream base.Each measures approx. 112cm tall x 37cm in diameter.Chips, cracks and old staple repairs present commensurate with age.

Whatman Turkey Mill 1832, later half morocco, gilt panelled spine, [Abbey, Travel 683 (in parts); Sabin 29591; Tooley 240], sm. folio, Hurst and Robinson, 1825.*** A good copy with plates depicting views, landmarks and plantations in Jamaica, originally issued in 7 parts in 1824-25. The text is of interest, giving information on slavery, trade, the planter families and other aspects of life on the island collected by the author on his visit.
