19th century lacquered brass telescope by J H Steward of Strand London, having secondary sighting scope on an adjustable tripod base with stay. Original fitted mahogany box with additional oculars. Main body length 1.05M plus additional tube. The box 1.13Mx 25cmx17cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Some tarnishing overall, but appearing basically complete. The box is water stained and marked overall. Primary mirror - Mirror in good condition but dusty. Some spots of dirt.2 Celestron eyepieces - rubber has perished. General wear and tear to outer telescope case. Battery cover to 'finderscope' damaged. General wear and tear to equatorial mount.
