Graham Barry Clilverd (British, b.1883) Leonessa, Italy signed lower right "Graham Clilverd" and inscribed with title pencil and watercolour 16 x 21cm (6 x 8in) Graham Clilverd was a London-born painter, pastellist and drypointer of architectural views. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of Arts and the New English Art Club.
§ Wilhelmina Barns-Graham (British, 1912-2004) Orange, Red and Pink, 1960 signed lower right "W Barns Graham 1960-91" and numbered 33/70 in pencil screenprint 75 x 48cm (29 x 19in) Wilhemina Barns-Graham was born in St Andrews, Scotland, in 1912, and studied at Edinburgh College of Art 1932-7. She moved to St Ives in 1940, where she met influential artists such as Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth, and worked with the artist groups of Newlyn, Penwith and St Ives. Throughout her life, she divided her time between St Andrews and St Ives, as well as travelling to such countries as Switzerland and Italy. All of these different environments influenced her work, which varies from the pure abstract to organic landscapes. Condition is fine.
