A 19th century Chinese Cinnabar lacquered circular box and cover, the lid decorated with figures in a landscape, diameter 10cm. *Provenance: Professor B. Lofts. CONDITION REPORT Some small chips to the interior rim of the bowl and to the lid, small area of decoration missing to sides of lid.
Pair of Chinese cinnabar lacquer lobed vases and covers carved with figures and pavilions, gilt copper mounts, seal mark of Qianlong but later, height 29cm, together with a pair of stands. Condition report: Vase 1: gross weight 1611.6g, minor chips and one patch of base layer lacquer missing showing the copper body, cracking on the inside of the neck, height of vase without lid 22.5cm, width 18cm, detached label "Ralph M Chait Collection". Lid 1: gross weight 393.1g, the finial may have been re-attached, patch of re gilding and black re-painting underneath, minor chips and cracking, diameter 11cm. Vase 2: gross weight 1661.1g, height without lid 21.5cm, diameter 18cm, minor chips and small patches of missing base layer lacquer, some cracking on the inside of the neck. Lid 2: gross weight 391.2g, similar condition to Lid 1, diameter 11cm

Figure of child is missing ends of the fingers on both hands, some small chips and light scratches. Both have some signs of wear and tear.
