A rare Chinese cinnabar lacquer vase stand, late Qing Dynasty/Republic, the near square lobed top carved with three dragons chasing a flaming pearl amid roiling clouds, supported on a waist decorated with cell and lappet borders, above a shaped apron and four tapering cabriole legs, all carved with conforming dragons chasing flaming pearls, terminating in a low base formed by four shaped stretchers, 89cm high, 46cm wide and 39 deep.Footnote: A pair of similar lacquer stands were sold at Christie's Paris, 21-22 June 2016, lot 127.
A Chinese cinnabar lacquer box of circular form, the cover and base finely carved throughout, the top depicting branches of plum blossom and bamboo and two birds perched on one of the branches. Side decorated with scoring and trailing lotus. Inside and bottom covered by black lacquer and Qianlong mark to the base, Qing period, 19th century, 12cm high and 27cm diam. short crack to cover edge and cracks to the inside surface commensurate with age and use.
A 19th century Chinese cinnabar lacquer square section vase, with tapering neck and foot decorated with stylised scrolling foliage, the body with four panels each populated with figures in a landscape, 30.5cm high CR - Fair condition. Some chips, cracks and areas of loss to one top corner. Lacking its base that it clearly sat in at one point, main body is in good condition, some places reglued, touched up or restored. Viewing advised.
