Two Japanese cinnabar lacquer totai shippo vases:Meiji period, the bottle-shaped ceramic body bears throughout a decoration of birds with outstretched wings and leafy motifs on a tree-bark textured ground, with white porcelain bases. H 21cm each. Provenance: By repute, a memento of a voyage taken by Captain J. S. Cox, on the S.S. Duke of Argyll, 1886.

Very fine Chinese cinnabar lacquer box and cover, probably Qianlong, of hexagonal form, allover carved in deep relief with trailing prunus branches, on low bracket feet, 12cm diameter CONDITION REPORT A few chips, splits and possible restoration to rim of cover, similarly minor, small losses, splits and restoration to base- predominantly at top rim. Overall largely intact. Provenance- from a local deceased estate.

All silver has various dents and buckles, scratches and scuffs, etc. All over very used and worn and in poor condition. Royal Albert Old Country Roses featuring four teacups and six saucers. Some wear to the gilt decoration, light scratches etc throughout. Pair of Desden vases have light scratches, wear to the decoration, chip to the rim. Further Rosenthal vase has light scratches, general small signs of wear and tear. Tureens show various chips and losses, scratching, crazing etc throughout. Chinese vase has been smashed and repaired. Various losses, chips and scratches. All items have general signs of wear and tear throughout.
