A Victorian walnut turnover top combined games and worktable, of shaped outline, with Florentine inlay with chequerboard, cribbage and backgammon, fitted with a frieze drawer and wooden slide beneath, with turned legs and raised on downswept scroll feet united by a centre stretcher. Width 27 ins (see illustration).
A George III mahogany triple top combined games and tea table, of shaped outline being boxwood strung and with re-entrant corners, the top section lifting to a well figured mahogany tea table further hinging to a green baize lined card playing surface with counter wells and further hinging to a chequer and backgammon board with hinged front compartment for card and gaming accessories, the serpentine front being boxwood and ebony strung with rounded corners and raised on foliate carved cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. A mid-19th Century Irish Killarney marquetry and yew fold-over games table with pyrographic detailing, the hinged revolving top centred with a titled oval reserve of `Muckross Abbey` flanked by a pair of fern fronds within chequer banded, crossbanded and foliate marquetry borders, the playing surface marquetry veneered with chess, backgammon and cribbage boards with continuous clover leaf borders and two oval reserves of Glena Cottage and a ruin, the apron decorated with a band of oak leaves and acorns above a faceted octagonal baluster stem and a quatrefoil base with clover leaf tendrils, raised on carved paw feet, height approx 79.5cm, width approx 79.5cm.
A George IV Rosewood Games Table inlaid with brass stringing. The top having demi-lune compartments either side with lift up lids and a central section sliding out to access a tooled velvet backgammon board and reversing to display an ebony & boxwood chequer board . The frieze fitted with a drawer on one side and faux drawer on the other. Standing on rectangular supports united by a stretcher, ornamented with wrythen rosettes and terminating on brass lion-paw feet, 28¾ ins (73 cms) high. The top 38 ins x 19¾ ins (97 cms x 50 cms).

A Chinese ivory chess and backgammon set with board 19th century, in neutral and opposing red colours, the red chess set complete with only one small chip to base of one Bishop and chip to the cross of other red Bishop, the complete neutral chess set with chips to cross of one Bishop, together with a set of fourteen red ivory draughts with figures in a garden setting, sixteen neutral ivory draughts, a red stained and a neutral carved ivory cylindrical dice shaker (each 7cm high) and a folding black lacquer chess, draughts and backgammon board with gilt decoration depicting Oriental style buildings and flowers.
A Regency rosewood games table, circa 1815, with brass galleried shaped drop ends, the sliding leather inset top, with marquetry chequer board and cribbage board to the reverse, with embossed later leather backgammon to the interior, on painted and parcel gilt lyre supports on paw feet, height 73.5cm, width 100cm overall, depth 42.5cm, Literature: a related design for a similar table exists in a Gillows estimate sketch dated 13 April 1813. Although the design describes a "sofa" table, the striking similarity of the design elements of the top to the table being offered is apparent. The "lyre" end supports exemplified by this table are also known to be favoured by Gillows during the same period. (See pages 265 and 303, Gillows of Lancaster and London, Susan E. AN INDIAN-COLONIAL ENGRAVED IVORY GAMES BOX, VIZAGAPATAM, 2ND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY rectangular, the chequer board exterior bordered with flowers and foliage, the sandal wood interior inlaid for backgammon centred by flower motifs, 38.5cm high x 40.5cm wide opened; together with a Burmese pattern ivory chess set, Canton, mid 19th century, natural and red stained; and a set of natural and red stained backgammon counters (quantity) By family repute, this box belonged to Reginald Rogers, one of a large family of lawyers and clerics, well known in Truro and the surrounding area throughout the 19th century. Before settling down to practice law in Truro, Reginald Rogers apparently travelled with the East India Company to Madras (just down the coast from Vizagapatam or Vizagapatnam), where he acquired the games box, followed by a stint in Canton, hence the chess set and counters.
