A large 19th century mahogany folding chess and backgammon board. The outer surface with rosewood and boxwood squares, the interior with inlaid backgammon board. Together with its contents: a cribbage board, an early 20th century tin of dominoes, a set of draughts, magnetic backgammon and various packs of playing cards.
A good selection of old and modern treen: a 19th century wall-hanging oak candle box having vertically sliding door with fielded panel; a similar compartmentalised box with sliding lid (possibly Indian, 20th century); a modern pine wall-hanging candle box; a modern amboyna-inlaid backgammon board and an amboyna-cased set of mother of pearl inlaid dominoes (5)

A George II walnut triple-flap gaming table, the second flap inlaid for chess and backgammon, on cabriole legs and pad feet, 87cm wide (distressed) CONDITION REPORT: The top very badly stained and scratched, some caused by leg support. Reverse to top with noticeable scratches. Other surfaces with scratches and blemishes acceptable with age. Game's surface split and with lifting veneer, pieces missing. Table frieze with missing veneer, noticeably on corners and leg terminals, legs faded, feet scuffed, lock missing.
