A fine 19th Century Indian Ivory chess set, the one side left natural, the other side left natural with stained green bases. The pawns to one side as musketed infantrymen, the other side sword wielding sepoys. The king 15cm, the pawns 9cm. The set is contained in a Sidali inlaid games box, 46cm wide, with chess board to the exterior and a backgammon board to the interior. Condition Report: Overall condition good. Damage to several pieces at the base. Several pieces have damage to swords. Minor damage throughout. Tallest 15cm
Three Vizagapatam backgammon and chess boxes. Condition Report: Larger of the three boxes is the more valuable, however, this also has the most damage. All boxes are generally clean and in good order internally, the exteriors all have losses and damage to the decoration (two more so than the other one).
A Victorian figured walnut serpentine work table, fold over top enclosing an inlaid chequer board, cribbage board and backgammon board, over a single fitted frieze drawer and a basket, slender ringed and pear shape end supports joined by turned cross rails, carved splayed legs, width 54cm, depth 41cm, height 73cm.
A Victorian walnut games and work table:, of serpentine outline, the burr veneered hinged moulded top enclosing an interior inlaid for chess, backgammon and cribbage, having a fitted frieze drawer and upholstered sliding well below on turned and petal carved column end and dual splayed legs with foliate ornament, united by a turned stretcher, terminating in castors, 61cm (2ft) wide.
Vizagapatam chess and backgammon box in horn and ivory covered sandalwood, in the form of two stacked books, inked details to the spines and covers depicting grape and vine leaf borders and scrolling foliage border to the board, opening to reveal three further hinged boxes similarly decorated, the interior decorated as an ivory and horn inlaid backgammon box, 25.5 x 46.5 cm (closed) CONDITION REPORT: Lacking keys. Many age cracks to ivory, see images. Scrtaching. Some pits to gaming surface, four large pits. Staiing to chess surface. One corner has 1" section restuck. All three boxes have split bases. No losses. No further issues of condition.
A Victorian burr walnut combination games/work table, the foldover top inlaid with a backgammon and chequerboard surface, above a frieze drawer and a further bag, 73cm wide. Condition Report: Condition is commensurate with age and use. There are a few issues: 1. The area around the hinged games board is damaged. 2. The veneer is blown/cracked in a few places. 3. No key present. 4. The mechanism to connect the top to the base is missing.

A Chinese Canton ivory backgammon set Comprising sixteen carved ivory counters, and sixteen stained carved ivory counters, and two stained and unstained dice shakers, all similarly carved with Manchu people. (34) (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Red shaker Small crack to upper rim, approx 0.5cm in length. One of the unstained counter has a crack approx 1cm long to the central area. All further counters and shakers show minor wear from use. Each shaker is 7cm high. Each counter is 3cm diameter and 0.5cm high. approx 2.5cm wide, the shakers aren't lined.
