Anglo-Indian Vizagapatam games box of ivory and horn on camphorwood, the outside laid for chess and draughts, the inside for backgammon and housing three lidded boxes of 16 ebony and 16 ivory counters, a horn and an ivory shaker and two ivory dice and a set of green and white ivory chess pieces, king height 9cm, box width 49cm. Condition report: one green bishop has a detached finial, losses to the finials of the white king and queen; the flags are missing from the rooks; one white tile is missing from the outside of the box and two edge pices are detached, one of which is missing; there is some warping to the box and drying-out splits of the wood.
