A set of thirty-six Chinese Canton export ivory backgammon counters, Circa 1900 The circular counters, intricately carved in high relief with Manchu figures, amidst landscapes and pavilions, together with two tapered dice shakers similarly decorated with traditional scroll bands and comparable depictions of Manchu figures, comprising eighteen stained counters and eighteen natural counters, within original box, each counter 3.5cm diam. CONDITION REPORT: The set appears to be in very good condition with only four the stained counters and three of the ivory counters showing signs of scratching, wear or splits. Both beakers also appear to be in good condition. Obviously due to the age there will be signs of wear and tear, otherwise good condition

Beyjemann & Sons Makers London', the main compendium with fold down front holding two engraved cribbage boards and two ivory counting boards, the top layer with two hinged trays holding a Staunton type chess set, four circular ivory counters and chequers, the middle two hinged trays containing four sets of playing cards, eight dice and counters, both trays with secret drawers with further playing cards and counters, the bottom tray with two ivory beakers, set of dominoes, counters and twelve lead Escalado riders on horseback, a further hanging rack containing a fold out chequers board with Escalado track on the reverse, four further decks of cards, playing cards by 'Goodall - London', H 23 cm, W 34.5 cm, D 26.5 cm

VICTORIAN INLAID WALNUT FOLD-OVER GAMES/WORK TABLE having foliate inlaid and banded d-ended top opening to reveal backgammon, dominoes and chess boards over a sliding well standing on turned and moulded end supports with turned pole stretcher and out swept geometrically moulded legs, on ceramic casters. Circa 1875. 28" x 16" x 29" (71cm x 41cm x 74cm). CONDITION REPORT: Generally dull and lacking in patination, some minor losses to moulding and opening of joints. A bullion moulding from one of the legs is missing. Minor restoration and re-polishing required.

Anglo-Indian Vizagapatam games box of ivory and horn on camphorwood, the outside laid for chess and draughts, the inside for backgammon and housing three lidded boxes of 16 ebony and 16 ivory counters, a horn and an ivory shaker and two ivory dice and a set of green and white ivory chess pieces, king height 9cm, box width 49cm. Condition report: one green bishop has a detached finial, losses to the finials of the white king and queen; the flags are missing from the rooks; one white tile is missing from the outside of the box and two edge pices are detached, one of which is missing; there is some warping to the box and drying-out splits of the wood.
