WALSALL-ARSENAL 1933 Official original programme for the famous FA Cup game in which Walsall defeated the mighty Arsenal 2-0, dated 14/1/1933, Arsenal played several fringe players and they did not play again for Arsenal First team. Programme has had tape along spine and is a little creased but it is complete and in at least "Fair" condition and has no writing. Regarded by many as the biggest Cup upset ever. Fair

Contains 21 League programmes, 2 FA Cup programmes, 21 Reserve programmes and the three other games noted. ALF FIELDS MARGATE / ARSENAL MEDAL A medal issued to Alf Fields of Margate FC for winning the Southern Football League Midweek Section in season 1936/7. From 1934 until 1938 Margate FC served as the official nursery side for Arsenal. Under this arrangement the London club regularly loaned promising young players to Margate in order for them to gain match experience. Star players such as Eddie Hapgood also turned out for Margate whilst regaining match fitness after injuries. The medal has the Southern Football League crest on the from and the name, team, winners and season on the reverse. Good
