Manton and Co. Calcutta percussion .750 commercial musket, with 39 inch sighted barrel bearing Birmingham proof marks, brass furniture including Baker type scrolling trigger guard engraved with Indian arsenal markings, fitted with leather sling. Section 58(2) antique/ obsolete calibre no licence required to buy this lot, purchaser must be over the age of 18.139cm long Condition report: The gun would benefit from a good overall clean to look its best. There is corrosion to the inside and outside of the barrel and other areas of the metalwork. With work this could be improved dramatically. The inside of the bore is rough all the way down but I cannot see any deep areas of pitting. The action works correctly with a good strong mainspring. The nipple and surrounding area are good except for surface corrosion. The stock has had some armourer repairs to the barrel pin holes (probably from the wood splitting out when the barrel pins have been tapped loose) there are however no serious splits to the stock. The ramrod is an Indian made replacement.

No licence required to purchase. Buyer must be over the age of 18.23cm long Condition report: Action works as follows: pulling the trigger moves the cylinder round but does not move the hammer. The hammer moves forward and backward under spring tension. The cylinder opens and closes.
