Mouseman Kneehole Desk Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson of Kilburn, oak panelled kneehole desk, adzed rectangular top with raised upstand to the back above a central kneehole, flanked by three graduated drawers to either side, all with wrought metal handles, raised on six block feet, with carved mouse trademark to the right chamfered edge.137cm wide, 67.5cm deep, 76cm highIn good condition with some wear commensurate with age. Top with some water marks and a scratch to the front right corner. Two small losses to the edge of the drawers, both photographed, the rest are in good order. No key present. Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson of Kilburn: an oak sideboard, with raised stub gallery back and adzed honeycomb top, over a central bank of three drawers with turned handles, flanked by single four panelled doors with iron latch handles, opening to reveal a shelved interior, raised on hexagonal feet, carved mouse signature, 154 x 48 x 82cm high.
In the style of Robert Thompson of Kilburn (Mouseman), of octagonal shape with a fluted column and supported on four shaped feet. Carved with various motifs including thistles, fleur de lys, rosettes and a leaf design. 155cms high. *Condition: One of the curved supports near the base has a crack across it, some black marks and small cracks to the feet.
