An early Mouseman (Robert Thompson of Kilburn) oak work box, the adzed plain top rising to reveal a fitted interior over a carved panelled front raised on octagonal carved supports, the right leg bearing the mouse running upwards, 50 cm wide x 54 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with quite heavy wear, scuffs, knocks and stains, some chips and losses to corners, and corners appear to have been chewed (possibly by a dog), the leg and the mouse to the leg have bee very heavily scuffed and chewed also, the mouse appears to be very long and thin and tail appears to be missing. Interior appears sound but it has clearly been used and has some scratching to the tray interior and rubbing throughout conducive to general wear, the two leather straps appear sound and original but show signs of wear from general use, some staining to interior. Legs have dumps throughout and very scratched just under the mouse. Piece appears in sound but used condition, and would probably benefit from some general tidying up. Believed to be around 1950's in age.

A Robert Thompson of Kilburn "The Mouseman" nest of three oak occasional tables on octagonal block legs, each with carved mouse, largest 61 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Overall with some general wear, some water marks to legs and some spots and stains to legs and to stretchers, colours of top vary with the top of the smallest ojne being of a lighter colour (please see photos), overall however condition appears reasonably good.
