The medal group is accompanied by five of Sainbury's shooting award trophies and cups, all pre-1900 and engraved. Comprising: - a large Victorian silver plate lidded teapot engraved to front ' 2nd GEV Aggregate Score 1882 - Corpl Sainsbury ,' 26cm tall- an oak lined tankard with Bacchus spout engraved to the lid ' 2nd GVEC N. C. Officers & Sappers Challenge Cup - For Highest Score In Annual Firing ' - engraved with several names and years, with Sainsbury's name visible to the edge, awarded in 1881 (lacking bottom). 26cm tall- a heavy silverplate tankard engraved ' 2nd Glos. Volunteer Engineers No. 4 Comp Challenge Cup Presented By E. C. Plant '. Sainsbury winning the cup in both 1882 and 1883, no further names engraved. 16cm tall- a small oak tankard engraved shield to front ' 1892 Battalion Challenge Cup Won By D. R) and Memorial Plaque. Also included is a printed certificate from the Commonwealth War Graves stating where he was buried at the Suez War Memorial Cemetery along with details about his family.

WWI First World War medal trio awarded to one 2572 Private E. J. Smith of the 1st Hertfordshire (Herts) Regiment. Comprising; 1914 'Mons' Star, War Medal and Victory Medal. All impressed ' 2572 Pte E. J. Smith 1/1 Herts. R. '. All housed in their original issue envelopes, with original ribbons (unused). Medals awarded posthumously and supplied with the original Record Office letter awarding the medals in 1921. Also supplied with Smith's original Princess Mary Christmas 1914 brass gift tin and field dressing, sent home during the war, which also retains the original postmark and address slip from the parcel. Consigned from the family.
