Good Condition (chinchain replaced, a few minor dents)
A post-1902 other ranks' blue cloth shako of The Highland Light Infantry, black patent leather peak, red, white and blue diced headband, plaited cord trim with acorns on right, black cord and boss with white metal thistle, white metal badge as for glengarry, ball tuft plume, leather and oilcloth liner, maker's label inside dated 1907, in a black cotton bag. Good Condition (peak leather slightly congealed, minor service wear, lower edge of headband mothed)
A Turkish sword Yataghan dated AH 1247 (=AD 1831), blade 22" with gold and silver damascened dated inscription. Gilt ferrule and gripstrap with applied fluted corals, 2 piece walrus ivory grips. In its silver coloured metal scabbard embossed with foliage, stylised serpent chape, top with pierced filigree decoration. A Belgian made .50" rim fire Spencers' Patent butt magazine repeating carbine, 37" overall, barrel 20" with regular pattern rearsight, the frame top flat stamped "Union.....Belge, Liege", and crowned "A" in circle on side; number 1799, plain back action lock with spur less hammer, walnut halfstock with sling swivels. Good Working Order and Condition (metal work lightly pitted overall with areas of deeper pitting, rearsight spring missing) (Please see lot 158 for image)
A 6 shot self cocking percussion pepperbox revolver, 71/4", fluted cylinder 31/4" London proved. Round white metal frame engraved "Bond, London, Improved Revolving Pistol" with scrolling foliage.
